Hey Apple, Please Fix My Bricked iMac, Then Trash Microsoft
by Michael Arrington on October 22, 2009

I upgraded three computers to Snow Leopard a couple of months ago, and one of them, a newish iMac, is still a brick. So even though I’m a loyal Mac user (just not the iPhone any more), it still pisses me off to see them trashing Windows 7 in a new Mac v. PC commercial. Windows 7 looks like a very solid operating system. It might even work just fine on that iMac. So give it a rest already, Apple. (via Erictric)

    • yeah…. hmm who would of thought!

    • I am sure the guy who “bricked” his iMac just wants to trash Apple. What self-described “loyal Mac user” would be “pissed off” about the ad? If a television ad makes fun of the car you drive, you get pissed. If an ad makes fun of the other guy’s car, you think it’s funny. The statement about him being “pissed off” about Apple is absurd. He doesn’t own an iMac.

      • Steve. If you could get past your fanboi rose tinted glasses for a moment. Apple makes some decent products but when they go wrong they go on the offensive to lie and deny their way out of doing the right thing. I have a G5 that Apple screwed me on because the serial number was a few digits outside of their recall range even though the power supply exhibited the same symptoms that their recall covered.

I have been a mac user for years and remember when Apple replaced my bottom of the line G4 desktop for a top of the line Powerbook when they could not fix my desktop and I wanted a replacement machine and they could not give me a G4 fast enough (the dual processor G4’s had just released and they could not get me a replacement machine fast enough).

Apple used to be a great company that did the right thing for their customers because they knew it would pay off in the long term. With their new popularity they would rather screw their long time users and sell to the fresh meat that are fed up with their PC’s and are mesmerized by their glitzy iphones and eyecandy in their operating system.

        • I bought a 17 inch G5 iMac in 2005. Apple replaced it twice with a 20 inch iMac G5 – FREE. They replaced the logic board two years after the warranty expired – FREE. The G5 was the worst Mac I’ve owned but Apple took care of it. I bought a white MacBook in February and returned it 2 months later for a full refund, no questions asked. I bought a MacBook (Al) from Hong Kong and had it replaced free at the Apple Store in Beijing because the lid didn’t close perfectly. Three weeks later, Apple released the MacBook Pro. Apple exchanged the MacBook with the new MacBook Pro-FREE. They apologized for not refunding me the extra 100 bucks because the price had dropped. Rose colored glasses? I don’t think so. Apple has the highest rated customer service in the industry.

Every company goes on the offensive when advertising. If there’s any truth to the ad, it works. Did you see Apple’s earnings this week? Best ever. Over half the people buying Macs are former Windows users, and according to Amazon reviews, most are glad they switched. When you talk about lies, I think Michael Arrington knows the story he published is bogus about a “bricked” iMac. “Bricked” refers to problems created by jailbreaking an iPhone, not an iMac. Do a Google search for “bricked iMac” and check out the results. Take off your rose-colored glasses and you will understand why Arrington publishes such junk.

          • Hi Steve,

Not that I disagree with you on Apple’s extraordinary customer service, I love my iphone. I would like to point out that you mention SIX issues with Macs since 2005, whether it be hardware or pricing. I’ve had one power supply replaced on one of my Dell’s running Windows since 2005…kind of ironic isn’t it? BTW, never a problem with compatibility or crashing with Vista.

          • Hmmmmmm………given the number of Machines that Apple has replaced with you makes ya wonder about the quality of manufacture tho.

What’s the best customer service? Answer: The one you don’t have to call because the products are made well.

          • I also have a G5 with a bad power supply that Apple refused to replace. My machine exhibits all the symptoms of their recall yet is slightly off in its serial number. I tried calling Apple and they flatly refused to replace the PSU on my unit leaving me with a defective PSU. I ordered a replacement part but the crummy design of this machine makes it so you essentially have to take it completely apart to get to the power supply located in a hidden compartment under the case.

When this machine comes up to replacement time I am seriously considering a linux box. If Apple won’t stand behind their product I can’t see paying a premium for a machine for it to only break.

        • John – you are full of BS. The overwhelming majority of consumers have had outstanding experiences with Apple’s customer service and support, even in the current environment. Why do you think they have the highest customer satisfaction levels BY FAR over their nearest competitors? They still do the right thing, and they still are a great company. Lets compare that to MSFT and Vista, and oh, now you have to pay for yet another release when you got screwed by Vista. On and on and on….

          • So how does Snow Leopard run on pre Intel Apple hardware?

If we’re talking of ’screwing people’ then Apple’s approach is a gang bang.

            Oops!

          • Wow. A seething mac fan. I have heard of these but never seen one in the wild.

If you think Apple is such a great company go on you tube and search for the videos where Apple has screwed people. Even better yet go on the Apple forums and post about how Apple is trying to screw you with their moisture sensors and see how fast they mussolini your post.

      • “What self-described “loyal Mac user” would be “pissed off” about the ad?” um… an objective loyal Mac user… Someone who understands Apple makes great products, but are not always in the right.

By the way “the guy” is Michael Arrington, you know, the founder of Techcruch. I’m sure he has at least one Mac.

    • Hah! Going to that page hung my iPhone.

  • These commercials no longer have any substance to them, which is why I stopped caring.

    • Yeah. That one was bad. As a consumer, it actually seemed to hurt Apple’s cred.

And honestly, microsoft did a kick A$$ job this time around. I’ve been using Win7, and I love it.

Although I never used Vista, not sure if that makes a difference. Usually I’m an Apple fan, but seriously. Hats off to the evil empire.

      http://www.traderbots.com

      • I am an Yankees and a Microsoft fan, and proud of it.

        • Lol. How can you be a fan of a company that now only copies apples lead? Have you seen the “micosoft store”? What a joke. But hey, go to a windows 7 party. I hear they’re the bees knees! Haha.

          • Oh so a company can’t have a store anymore if their competitor does? What is the world coming to? Apple stole most of what it has from other people anyway, for example, the mouse from Xerox.

          • Microsoft has great products. Even Windows Vista is a supreme operating system. People built so much hype around Vista being bad that they fail to try Vista and realize how awesome operating system it actually is.

I think Windows Mojave experiment actually proves it ;) I use Vista all the time and using Mac and it’s operating systems would slow me significantly in my work.

          • jon > obviously you don’t know the real story.

          • Jack, you do realize that OS-X is UNIX? how can any loser be a fan of a company that charges you money for a free OS? If you like Unix so much there are better, safer and more secure options out there. Compatibility is an issue, but any Apple user ought to be used to taking that shaft by now.

        • I am a Boston fan and have been a Mac user since ‘84. Happy to step outside and settle this with you anytime!

The ads from TBWA\Chiat\Day are genius! Keep ‘em coming Lee!

      • You gotta love how Apple disses Microsoft’s OSes in one commercial and shows off how Macs can run Microsoft’s OSes in another.

      • I’m using Vista now. It’s not as bad as everyone says it is. Can’t wait for win7 though.

  • It is just a commercial!

  • I’m with you. Snow Leopard conflicts so badly with Entourage (I think) that my machine randomly reboots every 3 hours. I’m on a PC till it gets ironed out. Maybe they shouldn’t have moved the date up! :-)

    • Not a fanboi, but app problems are app problems. And Entourage barely deserves app status. Ick! Office 2010 can’t come soon enough!

    • Nothing wrong with Entourage and Snow Leopard, you must have a corrupt install. I’m running both and I haven’t restarted my machine in a week.

    • you’re using entourage thats your problem….

    • Entourage. yuck.

    • Who uses Entourage anymore? It’s 2009…get with it…

    • Excuse me but you are an idiot for using Entourage – its another MSFT floater…

      • Thank you James and FreeRange. From the crowd that brought you “She was wearing a short skirt so she asked for it” defense this new brilliant line of reasoning…….

    • Office 2010 for Mac will ship with Outlook – not Entourage. If it’s Microsoft Exchange support that tightens your panties don’t worry little rabbit. Snow Leo* supports it out the box. http://www.appl...acosx/exchange/

      • Bzzzzt. Only supports Exchange 2007. It isn’t native support either, it is using the published RPC over HTTPS interface (read: webmail) and re-rendering it into the client. I would venture to say most companies out there aren’t up to Exchange 2007, yet. Saying it supports Exchange out of the box is a broad terminology for what they actual deliver on. Just like how Snow Leopard’s built-in “Cisco VPN” support is a bunch of crap, too. Apple rushed way too many of these features into SL for marketing moxy, but didn’t actually finish the development enough to make them robust or even usable in many scenarios.

        • Sorry, but this is quite incorrect.

First, RPC over HTTP is the protocol *Outlook (2003 and greater) uses to connect to Exchange servers (2003 and greater) when port 135 is closed down (it always is now). It literally tunnels MAPI/RPC traffic over port 80/443 (http/https). Only MAPI clients (like Outlook, and I believe Evolution) use RPC over HTTP.

Snow Leopard uses EWS (Exchange Web Services) to connect to Exchange version 2007 and 2010. It is a real, supported, documented API (SOAP based), and is not “rerendering” the web access version of Exchange in any way.

Entourage 2008 used WebDAV to connect to Exchange servers version 2003 and 2007. WebDAV is being phased out in favor of EWS in Exchange 2010, so Entourage now has an update to use EWS (see below) that is out right now.

Thus, the newest version of Entourage and Snow Leopard use the *same* interface to Exchange.

(you are correct, though, that SL only supports Exchange 2007 and greater)

    • Wasn’t one of Snow Leapers biggest features native Exchange support, making Entourage unnecessary?

  • I agree! Apple wants people to think they do not have problems. But they do.

    • I don’t have single problem with my mac. Every p.c. that Ive owned which would be 4 other computers. All crashed within 2 years. I would prefer a Snow Leopard over 7 anyday. And so do the hard core geeks that know there stats of the software

      • All crashed within 2 years — so come back to us in 22 months when your Snow Leopard is 2 years old.

      • “And so do the hard core geeks that know there stats of the software”

        Troll/complete idiot detected.

      • How have you been able to try 7 with all those crashed computers?

      • am a software engineer and “am a pc”…but I can work with any OS just as well, if your PC (or Mac) crashes it’s because YOU suck not the OS, lol.

        • +1

          This applies to any system.

        • this is what i found out and it is true. i’m not a tech person and i’m probably just a little smarter than the average baseline consumer who buys things without understanding anything except the end function (people who have no interest in why or how things work), and i bricked my pc’s as well as some mac’s i used at school and work. it happened because i was stupid, or there were things wrong with programs, files, viruses, someone jacked my computer, etc…i can operate both hardware and os’ and i just decided to start fresh and build my own pc and i basically read up on anything to do with computers and systems…and i think i’m a little bit smarter because if i kept messing up and didn’t understand why or didn’t make an effort to figure out why my computer was fucked, i wouldn’t really be a smart person. i’m smarter for caring. personally i don’t like the way the mac’s set up, and it’s not that i have to get used to it, it’s because it’s too easy, which i guess is a great thing for people, having everything nsimplified. i find windows a challenge and i like it that way. i’m also not a big fan of the apple designs, but i do like their ads. i don’t think their ad’s should be able to sway anyone with a brain, but people are easily swayed because they want to be. people want to use apple because it’s good and representative. no decent nerd or geek or whatever you call it uses a mac…if they do they’ve probably figured out many ways they can brick it and customize it fully to their needs.

        • I agree with this one completely. Twice I’ve had what I thought were very serious Snow Leopard issues and found that it was all fixed the next time I needed to restart.

  • That’s a nice way to praise the Mac, in 30 seconds I learned a lot of what it can do.

  • wow, your computer broke? you should write a book, hollywood’s always looking for ideas

  • I’m surprised they didn’t say anything about Windows 7 being called 7 as oppose to 6.1.

  • Android and Chrome OS is going to win.

  • Absolute bullshit, Apple’s ego is catching up to them.

  • Yeah, these commercials are really running thin these days. I think they survive mostly by the star power of the PC and Mac guys…

It was relevant during the Vista debacle, but now Apple needs to focus on innovating and not pretending like it’s superior. Actually make it that way…

  • Microsoft should run an ad like this:

Justin Long: PC, you are so not a MAC.

John Hodgman: Oh yeah? What CPU do you run, Mac?

Justin Long: Core 2 and i7. What do you run PC?

John Hodgman: Core 2 and i7. What graphics do you run, Mac?

Justin Long: Intel GMA, Radeon and Geforce.

John Hodgman: So do I. Look, Mac, you are just a PC, so stop pretending that you are something you are not.

  • Is this short gripe about Apple really worth a headline? Has TechCrunch just become a forum for their writers product difficulties?

  • WOW! Has Arrington finally come around? Welcome to the real world buddy.

  • They ran out of ideas, just like the iMac.

    No SSD, still? Bah.

  • these commercials are just insulting to windows users because they/we don’t all look like that dude. (and i just insulted that dude)

  • Can we please stop using the term “bricking” when it’s not appropriate. Bricking as a term means creating a situation where the end user has absolutely no way to fix the gadget/computer/whatever to return it to operational condition. You “bricked” it and it’s now literally just as good as a brick to you. If you blow the OS install/upgrade on a mac you aren’t bricking anything, just losing data. You can simply load the OS again from scratch and the thing will work fine. This is a MAJOR difference.

  • Watch all of the three ads right Now that apple released againt Win 7

    http://thetechn...g-at-windows-7/

  • Nice summation MA! Nice to see some great posts by you lately, this is what TC is all about…

PS: Is MG sucking his thumb in the corner after reading this :->

  • Lame

To be more accurate these videos should always include a spinning pinwheel overladed on the face “generic techno-hip white guy”.

  • Funny that apple made their huge stride due to sexy hardware and amazingly solid OS, right when vista was plummeting it’s own market share. It sounds like the pendulum may be swinging back a bit. At least to the center.

  • hey MIKE stop worrying about Apple commercials
and get that Crunchpad released shesssssss

its beginning to look a lot like vaporware

  • These commercials have lost their appeal. They have hit a wall in terms of advertising.

  • I agree, I also refused to use Vista on any of my machines, they were all XP x64. Windows 7 was an easy upgrade, seems solid, and is loaded with features that I want.

OSX Is great if you want to dick around. If you want to get anything done, use Windows.

    • this is also very true. i get a lot of work done.

    • ImpeachTheSockMonkey'10 - October 24th, 2009 at 12:00 pm PDT

“OSX Is great if you want to dick around. If you want to get anything done, use Windows.”

Umm you have that exactly backwards–suffering from dyslexia perhaps? lol. Think the Economy and the Job Market is getting “better” because Obama’s lackeys tell you it’s so? :) LMFAO!

Just ran Windows 7 Ultimate for a grand total of 5 (yes, FIVE) minutes before it froze/crashed. After MULTIPLE reboots/fucking around it asked if I wanted to “Restore” my system. I hit “Cancel” and went back to WORK on my Mac–it just works without having to constantly fuck with it–UNLIKE M$ products ;)

  • I usually laugh at theses add, I am a huge XP guy and some of the ads are funny.

But wow this ad was terrible, the dude usually says something about mac…but this time nothing. I think its time for a new ad campaign.

  • Microsoft is fighting back with Windows 7. But can it sustain long enough? I doubt.

  • I’m confused. So the author of this couldn’t take his bricked imac to an Apple store to get it fixed? How about just formatting and reinstalling?

  • These Mac v PC ads are usually amusing but this one smells of fear.

  • Isn’t it weird that even supposedly erudite tech scoops revert into finger-pointing lusers whenever they have a tech issue that affects them personally? Sounds like 2/3s of his upgrades went off without a hitch, and the last one had a problem that they probably just haven’t gotten around to yet.

Seriously, Arrington, enough of us out here are jobless, next time you have a simple Mac glitch, just post your cry for help clearly, and we’ll come running… No need for the hyperbole… Even when the ad DOES suck.

  • i’m a Mac, and i’ve had plenty of issues throughout the years. in fact, the more Apple Products i use, the more issues i encounter. software and hardware aren’t perfect. Apple and Microsoft BOTH need to recognize this and stop bickering. [no end user operates in the "perfect OS environment". recognize!]

these smarmy “I’m A Mac/I’m A PC” ads piss me off.

  • Apparently they haven’t tried windows 7. There was only one driver missing on my laptop, but windows 7 gave me a link to the file on the asus website, solved quickly

  • Apple needs to win over Windows users not insult them. 9 out of 10 PC owners use Windows. Don’t tell them that what the continually purchase sucks when a majority don’t have that experience. Tell us why Mac is better, please. These ads are getting tedious.

  • I am at a loss. Is the problem with the ad or the fact he can’t locate the genius bar in his hometown? I have worked in the iT industry for as many years as some of you are old. Windows was solid up until Vista which is when I switched. Iw ould be hard pressed to go back. Apple takes care of their customers. The winers aree the ones who want to msit behind their desk and have their diaper changed instead of having to go to the genius bar. When Windows 7 crashes on you (and it will) let’s see how much help you get at the Microsoft store. Page 1 of the answer bar manual says the answer for every problem is to refer them to the hardware manufacturer. And around and around you go :)

    • so you buy a mac you go to the mac store to get it fixed, you buy a pc from dell you can send it to dell or go to best buy or any other repair shop. seem like the answer is the same but i guess if you dont have to stand in line in a silver store with hipsters you must not be able to get good service.

  • Apple really have nothing to say to attack microsoft. They resort to old arguments. Vista issues are a thing of the past. And the issues vista had were based on the early release service pack 1 solved a lot of issues.

Apple use to just work because the “base” was small. But i know a few amount of people that have macs and have issues. They are getting sick at dealing with the geniuses.

I been an apple user for over 10 years but my hats off to microsoft they release an awesome O.S

  • Hey you should load Win7 on your iMac and it will run really fast!

    Sincerely give it a try.

  • So Microsoft has finally fixed their problems and released a real OS. Congratulations…

This is just like the Chinese finally launching a successful space mission one millennium after everyone else has.

The real question is what will Microsoft do next? They ALWAYS look to Apple for their “innovation”. Too bad Apple is keeping that under wraps for now. How on earth will Microsoft innovate when Apple hasn’t given them a roadmap??

    • Im running 1080p Blu-ray level video from a $399 HP Mini 311 with an HDMI port to a HDTV. Windows 7 running on an Atom and 1GB of ram, systme memory never peaks over 650MB.

I’m sorry, but when in hell did Apple ever pull this off?

I own an iMac and a DVD-R is stuck in the drive which I barley ever used.

I attempted to do Windows level productivity on this iMac and it is now running worst than Windows 95 on a good day. I was trying to use an Ajax web form in Safari the other day and it just kept crashing, thank god for IE 8 on my Win7 PC as I was able to get some real work done.

Windows 7 running on a 6 year old AMD dual core like it was purchased yesterday is INNOVATION. Being told that my G4 is no longer relevant for SL is just a smugness I can no longer support.

      • you just lost all cred with saying IE8 is the saviour of all browsers. seriously.

      • Considering that Microsoft copies EVERYTHING that apple does, it’s very sad that you would try to define innovation as supporting an older computer.

        That’s not innovation… that’s RESTORATION!!

Innovation is creating something that hasn’t been attempted before…. Microsoft doesn’t innovate. They copy, and are very good at making things cheap and clunky.

        • Oh, what a brilliant argument. Apple doesn’t innovate, they copy, steal, and “borrow” from real innovators like every other behemoth company out there.

You fanboys call that innovation, when really you are just clouded by their fancy boxes and slick marketing to help you feel better about paying 3x as much as the comparable (and usually superior) PC hardware.

If two people have the same idea at roughly the same time, it does not indicate that IP theft has occured. It means that the market dictated an emergence of something new and savvy companies moved on it immediately. God forbid someone did something Apple also did, but better the first time around. It must make you want to kill yourself, having your mighty emperors slighted in that way.

  • Can’t agree more. I use both OS X SL and Win 7 and I have to say that upgrading to SL was a mistake, but upgrading to Win 7 was not.

  • Just had the MacBook Pro graphic card “black death failure” 3 weeks ago….and this week I’m experiencing the iPhone “battery draining so fast I can see it happening” failure.

Apple is far far from perfect and this month has reminded me of that.

Also, I question how many users are actually 100% Mac. I have a Mac 17″, 2 PC laptops, and an iPhone. And my Mac, through Bootcamp, is both a Mac and a PC.

My little Lenovo x300 happens to be my most reliable and favorite travel computer.

Bottom line, the Apple vs. Microsoft ads are extremely tedious. I straddle both OS worlds quite happily and I absolutely can’t live without Office.

Apple needs to start directing its marketing muscle towards Google. That’s the biggest threat to Apple’s walled garden.

  • Hahaha, all Mac say is “i’ve heard this before”, which we have. I do hope microsoft raises the bar with window 7 they really need to get their act together on something.

I also like how microsoft is now boasting that they have “addressed the virus issue”… so that means they weren’t addressing it before?

I think is was kinda funny, we all know mac hasn’t had the issues PC has with malware, i’m not trying to make that point but a search on apple’s site has 192 results for “virus”, microsoft’s site…. 1,280,000 results.

    http://www.appl...search/?q=virus

    http://search.m...mp;FORM=MSSBCUS

    • Yeah, that’s because before, no one cared enough about Mac OS to write malware or viruses for it.

      • Ummm… I would prefer to use an OS that virus writers don’t care about. You present this as an insult when in fact it’s a benefit for those of us who don’t want to call the IT guy every week.

        • I guess you had better switch to BeOS or another archaic OS, then.

Macs are targets, and the attacks have escalated exponentially over the past few years. In fact, Macs are the new PCs when it comes to exploits. We demo’d a remote safari exploit the other day and scared the crap out of our uppity Mac users who think Antivirus and Security software doesn’t belong on a Mac. Now they changed their tune. Be careful about what you assume versus what is really going on out there.

          • Tim, you’re a fear mongering cretin who doesn’t care about the security of any computer user, Windoze or Mac.

Exponential growth in theoretical exploits? Really? Seems like they come on a regular basis, upon which Apple provides a security update.

Just convincing PC users to de-zombify their computers and upgrade to Windows 7 will improve computer security tremendously . Too bad millions will decide to keep their zombie XP tower alive.

Uppity Mac user? I’ve used one for 13 years and haven’t met a single Mac-user who has had a virus out in the wild.

Please keep up your good work developing and advertising these exploits though; they ultimately keep Mac-users more safe.

          • I’m sorry, Panama, but I just can’t take anyone who uses the term ‘Windoze’ seriously.

    • Who needs a virus when the OS itself eats your homework?

  • The ads have been played out for a while but these seem nervous. Maybe it is because they are particularly grating to me these days because a 2nd macbook in row now has a battery that will not hold a charge. It is maddening and has forced me back onto windows for a while now where I’ve found 7 to be quite solid and even lovely in spots. Also, the fact is, SL shipped with a bug that can delete all your data. Vista was never that proactively atrocious. I’m thinking you should fix that first before you bring the smarm.

  • I don’t care! My Macbook Pro rocks…

  • 100% agreed Michael. Vista was a travesty, but Windows 7 is super solid (we’ve had about 15 people in our company running it on both PCs and Macs for the past few months). It is NOT Vista, folks. It’s a great new OS that provides a solid, fast, easy to use experience and runs fast even on cheap, low end hardware.

As the last commenter said, it’s time for Apple to focus on a new message, ideally turning their attention to Google and the real battle that is about to ensue in the iPhone – Android realm.

  • Trust in Windows?

Only when Windows trusts me… :( Sadly, all macs come with the trusted computing chip too.

  • Thats not what Apple’s Q4 said!!

  • Oh god. Just Switch to a pc arrington and get it over with. Your little obsession is tiresome.

  • “…its sort of up to a new operating system to deal with backwards compatibility. hard to blame the app for not working with furture OSs…”

Arrington, you have that backwards. It is up to the App developer to maintain forward compatibility after new OS releases. And you CAN blame an owner for not doing his homework before performing upgrades. So, if you can’t figure this out on your own, make a Genius Bar appointment, and haul your insufferable ass down to the Apple store like the rest of us. Stop whining in public and take care of business.

  • The latest Mac ad should have brought on a special guest and then poof, make the whole ad disappear to white.

Mac: Hey PC, meet my guest over he–

    *poof*

  • Apple need’s to stop trashing Microsoft. They need to learn to survive in an environment were their competitors are making cool products too.

Windows 7 doesn’t have to be bad to make their OS good. They’ve had a few problems of their own in the past. I still haven’t upgraded to Snow Leopard on my main computer because I’m afraid. That’s not a good sign for Apple.

    Anyway, I totally agree!

  • Those commercials are getting snotty. I used to love them but not anymore.

  • These topics are so old, I can’t believe anyone at TC would even write a post like this. Not much new or interesting news going on with this one… MS bashes Apple, Apple bashes MS, this computer doesn’t work, that computer doesn’t work, who cares… really.

    • Are you kidding me? It’s Arrington, he loves to ignite flame wars and boast his personal opinion on everyone. He strayed from being a real writer a long time ago.

I think his talent would go well at a high quality print publication like “Star Magazine” (http://www.starmagazine.com/).

Everyone uses what ever one likes we are all fanboys and we all hate each other. Your commercials are stupid, their commercials are snotty. It’s marketing.
