Yahoo Product Manager Michael McNeely leaves a cryptic Twitter message in response to my “Can We Please Have Jerry Back?” post earlier this evening that is critical of Yahoo leadership. He says “I wish I could fully respond to this…”
Me too! Do you agree with me, Mike, and are venting your frustration? Or are you aware of exciting new Yahoo product plans that will turn the tables on Google, Microsoft, Facebook, AOL, Twitter, etc.?
As usual, I’ve got a free TechCrunch tshirt for you if you’re willing to give us an exclusive interview (and I’m totally seriously not kidding).
In all seriousness, though, I do hope Yahoo has some great stuff to show us. I’d be happy to eat my words and be proven wrong. Don’t let me down, Mike.

I don’t get it. How can anyone turn down a free t-shirt?!
One can, if he works for Yahoo!
It’s only a cotton tee. Now, if it were a military-grade fire-resistant blend…

Bad news Mike. It’s even worse than it appears.
Yeah, a techcrunch wifebeater would look good while he’s standing in the unemployment line.
Made me laugh out loud. Reading in bed and woke my wife. Shame on you.
…and McNeeley has protected his Twitter page. The mystery deepens.
ah, looks like he unprotected it now. less conspiracy-theoryish.
Or could that mean more conspiracy-theoryish. Maybe he protected it for that short period to go in and delete old tweets related to something and then unprotected it to throw you and everyone else off.
Ok probably not, but I like to feed conspiracy theorist.
Do you ever get approached to run a company other than TC? Your networking connections would make you an asset, your emotional rants would make for fun blog fodder? Is TC something you plan on doing for the rest of your life or do you have other ambitions?
oh i think i found my calling.
Probably because he is in serious trouble know and already waits for the call from his boss…
now not know
good catch
Judging by mike’s personal website FloristDEX.com which uses google search & google adsense, there seems to be a gap in Yahoo’s product offerings.
Are you talkling about this free TechCrunch T-Shirt?

Looks like a nice T-Shirt
Will i get it if i say something about my blog?
wow. we need to make those.
Send me one when you make it
HP has survived Carly Fiorina ( with heavy job losses).
Yahoo will survive Carol Bartz ( with ……. )
If Yahoo! was a question, as in: Yahoo? What would the answer be?
hmm, Google….Goooooogle!
This thread almost makes me want to sell my soul for a TC T-Shirt
BTW, what ever happened to the Elevator Pitches section of TC. It’s been down forever.
I wish I could respond to this, but I have a ridiculous artificial limitation of 140 characters.
Someone is getting a talking to from his manager tomorrow
mike is suffering from a syndrome common in sunnyvale…they’ve been on campus so long, listening to pr-crafted drivel for so long…they have completely lost touch with reality. after they leave or get laid off, they come to a stunning realization that somehow eluded them all those years on mathilda…yahoo doesn’t matter anymore.
this guy probably thinks rushing to carol’s defense will earn him brownie points somewhere…or even worse, he actually believes the company is “turning around”
the company has been “turning around” ever since google went public….turning around in its grave
just chop it up and sell it to ballmer so qi lu can run it like a proper company
I made a pretty early call on this. All archived in TC comments.
