The conference is over, the winner has been announced (RedBeacon), and the drinking has begun. Thank you so much to all of the companies (both the finalists and in the Demopit), the sponsors, and the attendees who made this year’s TechCrunch50 possible.
We’ve put up more than a hundred posts in the past two days, covering every single launch, and then some. So there’s a lot to absorb. But for now here’s a video that captures some of the spirit of the event.
Video by Animoto. Song by Chamillionaire (who jumped in as a judge at the last minute).

Awesome job by Che-millionaire
anything like this?

Why this startup din’t launched? http://idooble.com
So, TC50 draws to a close. The event has been extremely great for startups and for readers to get an overview of startups. Thanks to writers Jason, MG and esp Paul for covering the event in their idiosyncractic styles. (Loved Paul’s drinking game…waiting for his review of the whole TC50 event).
nice video to highlight TC50.
An awesome TC50 this year for all of the startups. It has opened my eyes to some companies which I will now keep my eye on, rather then not evening knowing of their existence.
I watched nearly the entire thing on UStream and loved “mostly” every minute of it. I am however glad that this short montage of the event has some decent music to go with it. The music being played during the session breaks was bad to say the least.
I’m certainly looking forward to next year’s conference and I may even attend.
Great competition, congrats to the winner and all the participants. In celebration, here’s a great comment from Guy Kawasaki about MBA’s that want to go straight to work at a VC as their first job (bad idea according to him): “How many VCs know how to suck up to Michael Arrington to get him to cover your product in TechCrunch?”
Priceless.

What do they mean by “first job”? Most people do MBAs after several years of work, so they’re not exactly rookies in their field. I would have thought these would be exactly the right sort of person to work in VC as an analyst/associate.
(not watched video yet)
OK, watched the video now and I pretty much agree with his points.
Can you tell me what sound track u used?
Chamillionaire – Good Morning
Will be in iTunes soon. It’s on his upcoming album due December 8th.
Glad everyone enjoyed Chamillionaire on stage
. Great video. Wish Cham and I would have made it out there on day 1.
Looked like a really good conference having read most of the posts, some interesting up and coming companies to keep an eye out for! Events such as this are really useful to anyone in the industry and well worth going to. I haven’t yet ventured to tc50 before but after seeing the highlights video, its on my priorities for next year!
This is such a cheesy video! Come on!
Great event, watched entirely on ustream and the quality was amazing.
chamillionare was the perfect judge; someone from a consumer pov but also as a business is great. Have him back next year!
Great job on the song Chamillionaire!
The video is very cool. A brief introduction of those who are taking responsibility for changing the world through serious innovation.
Cheers!
Wow, did you have to stick six pictures of Marissa Mayer in there to make it seem like there were more woman attendees? Curious what the female:male ratio was…Looked pretty ugly.
There were a good amount of women for a tech conference.
There were a lot of women there, I would guess probably 1/4 to 1/3 of the audience was female. Not many on stage though. In fact, there was only one that I can remember.
Thanks for the reply Cyan/Sean. Reassuring. Not ideal, but reassuring.
Is there another intertaining Sara Lacy interview?
Lol! Nice Song Chamillitary man! Good video too. But Overall, this is good stuff.
wow! truly amazing…
Apple should buy Animoto and implement some of this genius into iMovie + FCP!!
