DUDE… the problem is not a lack of a sense of humor. The problem is that it actually wasn’t funny. It was just really lame. How many old, and really outdated, jokes can you roll into one clip? This is “been there, done that, 5 years ago” humor.
This is a good example of Microsoft’s strategy: allow smaller vendors to identify and build a market and then following with a superior product.
I think they do need to rethink some of the features:
I’m not sure it makes sense to have a calculator on the phone (what if you want to calculate something -while on the phone-?), the user-interface for the application-store seems a bit too complex for average users.

More to this rumor than you might think… I heard there is a Zune phone being prepped for release this Christmas. IMO MSFT has been teasing us with the new Zune as a media player but I suspect it is really a phone or a media player – a la iPhone and iTouch. Nothing like imitation… But it would be a cold day in hell for MSFT to produce a phone OS that has good UI and which has snappy performance.
