Remember that video contest Google announced back in June to try to get people to make videos showcasing the icon for its Chrome browser in creative ways? No? Well, the entries are in
It’s all part of a plot to get you to recognize the Chrome browser icon. (That wouldn’t be so much of a problem if more than 2.6 percent of you bothered to use it).
Most of them are lame, I gotta say. You can check them out here. I much prefer the commercials the pros made for Google. But there are a few gems. Below are three of my favorites. (What’s with Japan and its love of Transformers, by the way?)

I’m not giving up FireFox either (for developing) – but for good ‘ole browsing – Chrome is the absolute #1 stunna….

+1, we need a firebug for chrome and then I leave Firefox behind.
firefox is faster. i just did a test of a few pages and timed it using my watch. firefox was a couple seconds faster. maybe its because it didn;t have to load all the ads.
You should test FireFox with SunSpider and then test Chrome 3 beta with SunSpider…

And that was a year ago… about a week after Chrome launched if I remember correctly.
And the latest build of Chromium is 30% faster (as reported by TC a few days ago).

i haven’t gone the way of google chrome yet…and it makes me kind of sad because i know it will beat the IE i use now. i just upgraded IE instead of going chrome. maybe i’ll regret it in a couple months.
That second video is quite possibly the worst video ever produced by man kind.

Chrome 3 Beta really rocks in speed. Simple design and fast. But it wouldn’t make me switch from FF due to addons (or lack thereof).
Wait, wait, wait! I can’t recognize the Chrome icon – maybe it’s because I *can* recognize the Microsoft icon! Surely Google has ripped it off for Chrome?
Nice work, the selection of legomen was unique, I’m sure I have seen them over Stratford (London) building the Olympics Stadium!
