This is nothing new. Its an idea that has been around for a long time. There are numerous companies doing this. (Ooyala, Brightcove, Videoclix.tv, cavi-int, etc etc)

c’mon mate, i’ve been associated with Clikthrough for well over a year now, they are hugely demanding, no doubt, but the effort and eye for details shows in the products that they have launched. I’ve never had any issues with any of my bills to date. Don’t wanna get into a debate here with you, just thought i’ll give them their fair share of respect that’s due…

I have been doing contract work for Clik since the first month they started. I can tell you that my experience has been nothing short of perfect. I have never had any issue with payment or found it difficult to work with them. The demands that are asked of us are what would be expected from a company with such global opportunity. The business concept is on point and the executive staff has the knowledge and expertise to revolutionize the product placement industry. It is obvious that some amateur has nothing better to do than make fraudulent accusations about a company that is having huge success. Isn’t life too short to be a hater? Get a life.

I worked for Clikthrough and was paid on time every time. The people at Clikthrough recognize hard work, professionalism, and those who can follow through with their commitments. I smell a hater on this page.

I do. Every one of them has had problems getting paid on time.

There’s a reason these guys run the same “developer wanted” ad constantly – they can’t hold on to talent because they don’t treat them properly.

This guy is a joke. If you do not provide the services you are contracted for and cannot meet your deadlines, do not blame your unprofessionalism and poor business practices on the company who has entrusted you to provide a service. Hold yourself accountable.
What Clikthrough is onto is INCREDIBLY HUGE; this individual is undoubtedly resentful he is not part of it.

These guys are a joke. They have a well-earned reputation amongst San Francisco contractors as being hugely demanding but terrible at paying their bills.

I know some people who fought for months to be paid relatively small sums, while other may not have been paid yet at all.

There are a lot of great startups on this peninsula – unfortunately, Clikthrough is not one of them.

wouldnt the real use for something like this be on youtube (or other video sites)?

like sort of a “product placement” for home videos?

im assuming the clikthrough technology doesnt recognize items, so users would be able to “Tag” items in the video and in return get a percentage of the revenue . This way, every youtube video is more interactive and deffinetly more lucrative (allowing for those annoying google ads to go away).

clickthrough is def on to something big, great to hear they where able to grab some funding during this rough environment for startups. looks like they have grabbed some major partners and now have a ton of top artists videos on the site.
