[...] One that caught me by surprise was Michael Smith’s Moshi Monsters, a social network/ virtual game for kids. Cute idea, but sounds like it should be road kill in this environment, right? Nope. Its revenues are growing 35% month-over-month, it has 85% gross margins, and just five months after launching the site is cash flow positive. Nicely done, gents. (BTW, Smith isn’t all business. His house was the setting of those famous Scoble pictures…) [...]

And here you have a classic example of some of the issues with public life and the internet. Techcrunch is obviously turning into a damn tabloid, but fortunately @scobelizer has thick skin and won't give this another thought.

However, it is a sign of the times and a lesson on how we as a community must be more tolerant of the whole person, and not jump up in surprise and disgust when a publicly perceived angelic image weaved by the media or some other communications machine is shattered. (I'm talking about people in the public eye in general and not scoble and this specific incident; scoble is certainly no angel and doesn't have a spokesperson weaving his public comments..;)...keep it real man! Glad to see the comments reflect this groups awesome perspective on life).

TC was always a serious blog which occasionally dished out some light hearted fun filled posts.
And I love reading these juicy posts.

But, everytime TC posts them (I have noticed it's mostly MG or Michael who makes these posts) there are people crying foul bout the degrading quality of reporting in TC.

Its the same story over and over again - everytime. Guys if you dont like these posts dont read TC, because they have been a part of TC and I suppose will be a pat of TC for a long time.

And wow! That really looked like one heck of a party.

I applaud Scoble for this. He has worked hard to be where he is and is just having fun. I wish everyone has the ability to be caught in such a "unprofessional" way and still maintain their reputation and/or job.

Not only that, but he is participating in the conversation too without fighting anyone or defending himself.

For everyone making fun of him and Techcrunch, who the hell are you to make such accusations? If you dont like the content then dont waste my time with your nonsense. You know what to expect when you come to the blog, this has been happening for months.
