Anybody have any data (or even a sense) of what is generally more popular for Tweets and FB updates - a desktop client model or a browser model?

I am just wondering why you would need both esp if you have standard OS such Windows or Mac?

Agreed - I was never a huge Seesmic fan. Didn't think their previous products had an obvious value proposition or solved a compelling need.

But this new Seesmic Web is awesome and has me converted. It may become an 'always-open' tab on my Firefox browser. This is proof that constant iteration and listening to feedback works. Well done team Seesmic!

"One of the differentiating factors between Seesmic and main rivals Tweetdeck and Tweetie is that Seemsic pulls in status updates from Facebook and allows users to update their Facebook status from the desktop client itself."

=> Hasn't Tweetdeck released its FB integration since March?

Not to nitpick but Seesmic is not a Twitter and Facebook Desktop client. It's a video service. Seesmic Desktop is what you're referring to.

Likewise, Loic is the CEO of Seesmic and did not "create" the desktop client. His developers did - as a company. I think Loic would give credit to the developers first, knowing him. But then I could be putting words in his mouth.
