What I’ve found interesting about this post (a very interesting topic and well written and I don’t disagree with) AND catching SOME of the comments on this thread, I actually quit commenting here at Techcrunch for this very same reason. People weren’t addressing (or attacking) the comment. They were attacking each other. And that’s ok. I expect that. But I expected comment moderation that just was not taking place. Comments went unmoderated and I mean the personal attack comments. Asking that a thread be moderated after being a participant in a post received no reply. Techcrunch became a war zone.

You’ll find that if one has planned to no longer comment somewhere, they lose interest in reading the content as well. The information here is good but it’s not the only source. Is this now a change in policy? If so, my interest in Techcrunch might again be worth following up on.
