I am guessing that content providers will be slow to adopt the benefits that this can offer as they will fail to grasp the capability to generate additional revenue from existing content. However, the use of this application with regard to speeches given by politicians could be a great test bed for this technology.

Now my question - you have a cool tech that goes frame by frame... but its still a backend. If the front end is not meaningful, this cool tech may end up landing flat on its chin.

Technology if not backed by usable, easy, and obvious business requirements, will spike and then die out pretty fast. However, if the app is interfaced with a solid usage model, then the value of this will be magical.

Really cool- Hulu should have this. Maybe they can partner- would be great if Hulu could utilize some of the best technology like Digitalsmiths to make their experience better.

Sounds really cool. I'll definitely use it to search for my favorite movie clips and tv shows. I hope that Digitalsmiths works out a deal with the content owners soon.

I'd hope that content owners see how hard it is to search video, my personal pet peeve is Hulu for older Saturday Night Live skits. The filter is too wide, and on top of that not all skits are uploaded to the archive, so you page through well beyond where you might find them because they don't mention what has been omitted from the archive.

Wow, sounds really cool. Will they continue to rely on partners for content or allow upload from anybody to their own platform?

I look forward to try the search.

Content providers stiffle innovation. They want to control everything although I don't blame them after the debacle the music industry went through. Cool technology either way!
