The days of big money for top .com's could be coming to a close. Why pay millions for toys.com when you could own the .toys TLD and launch countless toy related websites. The sale seems a good move given the upcoming ICANN TLD shake-up. If Yahoo really wants to launch a ‘contests’ website they could spend $185,000 and register the .contests TLD and then launch win.contests.

The days of big money for top .com’s could be coming to a close. Why pay millions for toys.com when you could own the .toys TLD and launch countless toy related websites.
