Rant for: google news sucks
I'm sick of the white wash news and complete black out of public opinion on the majority of propaganda news sites. We should be able to vote for what sites news gets front page headlines. Do I give a f**** about what some biased news writer thinks about a distorted, twisted, and spun out story? Can I just get the FACTS without the agenda's and corrupted personal stance regurgitated over and over and over and over again.

People should be outraged.

Google news is riding on its brand name ... I tried using it for a while but the search results are very noisy... there's too much information withour proper filtering...

www.noodls.com exactly answers this porblem... more coverage (19000+ sources across the globe) & very high level of segmented content...

I use GN for my job aggregating what is much more traditional news, and it actually does quite well.

I'm very limited in what I can reprint, and they typically do a good job of showing me all available stories on a subject so I can find a compatible source.

I do sometimes try to find other types of news, trade related, and agree it's much tougher to find. There also seems to be a couple of bad apples that infiltrate the listings, getting quite a bit of their editorial content up from blog formats, which based on my understanding isn't suppose to be allowed.
