Maybe, just maybe, this below post will convince you to just stop talking about Twitter and find something else people might enjoy and benefit from! I highly doubt that you'll listen since after this article you wrote so many more about the same old Twitter! But it wouldn't hurt us to try to direct you in the right path!

Bottom line: if something doesn't work, we don't use it. Twitter works.

Tomorrow? Twitter will morph. It's already happening as we use it for search. Next we will want platforms like TweetDeck to move from organizational tool to full on community builders.

Those who want it to fail are just jealous that they didn't think of it first.

Twitter is a service, micro-blog, that was not available before Twitter. It fits into the world of global sites as shown at http://www.ghq.com . It is a useful extension of the top services available and used on the web.

Troy said: "Twitter is an Organic, Semantic, Real-Time search engine. Think about that for a second… you have millions of human spiders, scouring the web 24×7, then report on what is found."

Ok that was downright CREEPY. You need to go for a bike ride my friend

How old is the author of this blog? "because right now, it [Twitter] matters. From news organizations to movie stars, from earthquakes to fires, from Facebook to Google — everyone seems to be talking about, to or with Twitter."

And?

Do you jump on every bandwagon that comes along? Twitter is not "amazing," nor is it "brilliant," nor is it "extraordinary." it is actually quite pointless on the scheme of life. It's yet one more distraction that takes people away from where their focus should be... like on the road in front of them.

Please grow up and stop salivating over Twitter. It's only "hot" because if it's name and cute little logo. Had it been named "barfbag" we both no one would give a hoot about it... right?

I think twitter is a cool product that people like to use and spend time on, but it is not a game changer.

For regular people it is just a piece of entertaining content. It's a self updating social tabloid, where the subjects are the lives of celebrities, friends, and other people.

Twitter is a valuable property solely on the fact that their user base is large, growing and spending time on it. This makes it a good advertising property at the very least.

For businesses, twitter users are about 10 million people willing to be on a mailing list.

I heard marissa mayer talk about how she used twitter search to see what was happening at a ski lodge she was going to. This is an example of real time search.

But the bad thing about the real time search for twitter is that it is dependent on random actions of twitter users. Also, twitter users make up a very tiny portion of the overall population in america.

If i want to know about what is happening at my local mall, i will have to hope that one of the 10 million current users has tweeted a relevant piece of information about the mall that meets my searching needs.

Search for what is happening won't work because of the randomness will not produce valuable search content. Unless you get the users to be more organized with their tweeting behavior.

Those are my thoughts for now.

And Twitter makes people more socialable in real life than Facebook? Can you explain? What about the ability to organise events etc that happen in real life alot easier than you could by group sending an email?

You are in a minority, you cancelled your account and you think the majority of 200 million people are going to follow?

The market for "How to Make Money Analyzing Twitter" has also peaked.

And you want the search traffic.

So I was incorrect in my earlier post. The Twitter generation is actually no different than mine. You are correct that Twitter was a non-starter until the "media" picked it up. Looks like they are blowing millions to ramp up the name recognition but how will they make money? Revenue generation seems to have gotten lost in the noise.

You are SO right. I could not have put it any better myself. Many of the articles posted in relation to Twitter do NOT exhibit a nutural and journalistic tone; instead they tend to be written from the perspective of an excited fanatic.
