Why would you doubt an SL client for iPhone? For starters, Linden Lab doesn't necessarily have to be the one to write it since the client has (long since) been released open source. Secondly, what does the sims have to do with SL, it's like comparing apples and oranges. There's already been one app that runs SL on an iPhone, albeit it's a cheat that streams the client running on a pc elsewhere to the iPhone, but, since buying an iPhone (just yesterday), and downloading a bunch of 3D apps, I'm now convinced that the iPhone has the power to handle a lightened version of the SL client. Also, LL maintains a Mac version of the client, which could be used as a base starting point for coding an iPhone version since both Macs and iPhones both run OS X.
