Glad to see good use coming for my old domain name, Building43.com Of course, when I registered it, it was for a blog about Google’s effect on society – not a Rackspace pitch site. But hey, better to have registered and lost, than to have never registered at all. Anyway, if ever anyone should need assistance with a digital media strategy and find that Mr. Scoble’s too busy to help, there’s more where that came from, so give me a tweet!

Does this comment mean I can now start comparing Kia to Lexus when talking about the auto industry?

While I agree that hosting is hosting when it comes to turning a profit (upfront capex and long term roi), the way in which these two companies acquire and retain customers is entirely different.

Go daddy is a street vendor hocking commodities. Rackspace sells service. Customers know the difference and I’m betting on long term success, as proven by their long term track record.

I wrote this tweet http://twitter....atus/1332537426 and within 10 minutes I had a support person calling me and 2 voice mail messages from GM Emil Sayegh being left on my phone while I was talking to the support person on why I might cancel. On a Sunday afternoon nonetheless.

I’ll be keeping my Mosso account because it’s a great service and well priced and most importantly, they did a great job of distancing themselves from the latest news.

Good luck Mosso, your service can stand on it’s own and your support and technology is best of breed. (ie. give a hoot, don’t pollute).

Just more Scoble jumping from company to company, vampire-sucking the lifeblood outta them.

Rack is crazy expensive yet now basic commodity, here-today-gone-tomorrow account managers, all ‘feel-good’ support sentiment without much in terms of reality to back it up.

As went Longhorn, Podtech, Seagate, Fast Company, now goeth Quackspace, short sell trigger finger set on overwhelming stun. ChrisATSo33t is dead right, symptom of the already manifested disease.

I guess Tumblr won’t get the shaky cams.
