I just can’t get over how many people use negative comments to rip on someone’s project just to boost their own self esteem.

It’s ridiculous how “tough guys” come out of the woodwork online–when you are sitting behind your computer.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and constructive criticism is the best thing you can do for someone, but seriously–stop talking and start hustling!

Gary will succeed, precisely because of things like this. Look how he is chiming in and addressing the nay-sayers on this blog! How many “celebrities” do you see getting involved with the masses at such a low level?

Not every project Gary does is guaranteed to be a home-run, but the fact that he is trying and pushing new boundaries makes it almost certain that some of them will.

Noted your concerns about watching ‘net TV at work. As an IT Security professional, I can share with you that their concerns are not only work productivity and bandwidth usage from video streaming, but also security concerns. That stated, there are REPLAYS available. The “core” audience will likely be WAHM who can watch (or TIVO it) during the typical business day, but for the others of us who work full-time, we’ll just have the replays available. It’s asynchronous.

For example, I definitely can’t access any social media sites, streaming video, etc. from work; I just wait until I get home, OR fire up my laptop during lunch *offsite* (wireless connections are plentiful). In fact, I did this recently during Joel Comm’s Tweet-a-Thon charity event on Twitter.

I hope this helps answer concerns. It may be a slight obstacle and an inconvenience to some ladies; however, it’s not a showstopper, in my professional opinion. The ‘net is 24/7/365!

For the Record:

@GaryVee is authentic. He has the chops; he has worked his “face” off to get to where he is now – “18 hour days” would be expected. You think he had it “easy?” Gary earned it by hard work, ppl!

Any of these negative, envious posters would do well to listen to and learn from him and get off their duff. I dare you to “dis’” Gary again… OK?

He gave me the encouragement to pursue one of my passions (saving wiener dogs!), while I still work full-time (as an IT/Security professional). From that came a charity fundraiser concept for Dachshund Rescue/ASPCA. If I hadn’t met Gary in 2008 and been *inspired* by his authenticity and his work ethic, I might not have launched the Longest Wiener Contest (serving charity). So, props to Gary. Back off, naysayers. Gary is the real deal. Don’t be talking “trash” about him…

Gary, I find your passion for answering Q’s and giving back on comments very, very noble. It started out with you answering all your mails.

I just hope, that this new thing of trying to prove (being diplomatic, you being a nice guy) to everyone doesn’t suck up all of your energy (now or in the long run).

I don’t know what you are working on, I just hope that maybe you can convince yourself in carrying a bit less and putting that time and effort maybe once again in expanding or developing your business…

I’m confident that you’ll benefit in the long run.
