I've watched over 600 hours of his senate floor speeches. All of his morning show appearances and though, on occasion, he does muster up a goof or get dramatic, when he is "on" he is very effective, informed, and sagacious. He knows his stuff and when he speaks about history and leaders from around the world, he speaks as one who has been there and knows them personally. When you go through and see his positions over the years, he was discerning to a creepy degree. Much of what he portended then, came true. So, though he appears like the dorky uncle we all dread at a holiday gatherings, I am very comfortable him being at OBama's side. He will speak his mind which is very informed.
