With SaaS becoming more accepted now is a good time to look at the benefits of an online, collaborative Project Management solution.

This is particularly true for multi-location organisations and medium-sized companies (who can't carry the cost of enterprise rollout and support of a PM solution)

I also recommend you to test Celoxis. It has a very easy to use but powerful and platform independent API. Check it out at:- http://asp1.celoxis.com/psa/docs/api-guide/html/index.html

I went with Celoxis (www.celoxis.com) after evaluating around 25 online project management solution. I liked Celoxis because it is easy to use, comprehensive and cheaper $14.95/user/month.
For some reason they are pretty low key. Maybe they let their product do the talking. Anyway, check it out.

Today is my first day at a new company as Program Coordinator. I have been asked to evaluate new project management tools to track our projects.
Basecamp was recommended but I was asked to check out a few more options which is how I found
Clarizen. I find your tool has more functionality
and is easier to use. The pricing is higher so a free
year subscription would really help me sell Clarizen
to the rest of the team!

Thanks so much and sorry you needed to fill out a form for the product tour. Believe it or not, most of those who sign up for the tour not only provide authentic contact info but also are grateful that we contact them as they, maybe you too, are in the midst of an evaluation process and are overwhelmed by the PM solutions available in the market. Searching over the web just results in another headache. Over a quick call with our sales team, we tell them instantly if Clarizen would be a good fit and if not, we even guide them to one of our competitors. After all, the competition is not amongst the PM vendors but the same old email, spreadsheets and an occasional MS Project file that teams use instead of a centralized project solution. Feel free to contact me directly (gil.heiman before the asterisk).

If I don't get Clarizen today, the world will simply END. Here's why:

If I don't start getting on track with my projects, like immediately, my boss will probably fire me. Without this job, I can't make my mortgage payments and the kids will most likely starve. This will trigger a series of devastating and cataclysmic events, which will ultimately land me in some mental institution down by the river.

Now that my starving kids don't have a father to watch over them, they will revolt and become crazed mall-lurking drug addicts, which means that they won't be playing sports any longer. Now if my son quits soccer, there's a really, really good chance that the US will lose during a double-overtime match against Korea in the 2014 World Cup.

Once Korea wins, they will start bragging and mouthing off about how much better they are than the US, teasing our players and our economy, shouting stuff like, "Ha ha, stimulus THIS!" (in Korean, of course). Now you and I both know that the US simply doesn't put up with that CR4P...

Hence, WWIII will ensue.

By now, Clarizen has gone global and now both countries are so damned freakin' ORGANIZED, the perfectly planned war lasts for over a decade, where at this time, the planet is glowing nuclear waste dump site, not to mention everyone is dead. The servers are still running, but the people are toast. How's that for managing UNCERTAINTY?

And that's pretty much why I need Clarizen today, to help prevent a major catastrophy. In fact, I would be doing everyone a FAVOR by you giving me the free licenses.

Oh, and by the way...YOU'RE WELCOME!

Peace out,
Keoni

I am managing a large-scale project across the main campus of a major (Big Ten) university. I'm really frustrated with Project and this looks like it might be a good option for me. The project has both software and hardware elements, and is going to take over a year to complete.

We are also more than willing to provide usability feedback and/or participate in the development of white papers around our implementation of your product if it works out well for us.

It's a good thing that there emerge more and more options for non-trained business users improve their project management practices and collaboration. It happens thanks to companies like Clarizen or Wrike (the one that I work for). It's also a good thing the people can choose the option that is right for them. For example, Wrike is a perfect fit for those companies, who heavily depend on email and need to save time, as well as increase productivity.

I am a Clarizen Customer since October. I started looking for a Collaboration tool to enhance the project collaboration of our teams that are not only distributed over the country (Italy), but are as well working on dislocated yards and sometimes dont even see each other for a week...

The tool I wanted should basically be able to do 5 things: (Dependency Enabled) Task-Lists, Templates for such, Reminders, Shared Forum for each project, Document Management. At this point, I had no clear idea of HOW TO EFFECTIVELY INSERT INFORMATION and WHO should really stay behind all this and keep it updated.

I found it very hard to find a good tool. After weeks of research in groupware and many, various PM tools, my choices melt sown to ActiveCollab, JobLogs - and Clarizen.

The BIG PROs OF CLARIZEN over all others:

- You can ADD TASK TO EXISTING PROJECTS via Email from you Outlook! That a great one!!!
- People receive INTERACTIVE REMINDER EMAILS for there tasks.
- With these Emails people can UPDATE there tasks from anywhere! Even on a Smartphone people can update their progress and join the masterplan without Project Manager effort.
- They can as well leave notes on there tasks, that then appear to the project manager as new note...
- Managers and everyone with a log-in can send Emails right from the task that will contain a link to the task - for perfectly quick context provision.
- Perfect for distributed project teams.
- "Resources" don't need a license! They can be involved into the project plan for FREE... They can update the tasks assigned to them directly from their Outlook! You cannot make it easier to collect project progress information! That really is great.
- You can have all kinds of REPORTS on you projects and tasks....
- Time and budget tracking on projects!

AND ONE MORE GREAT THING ABOUT CLARIZEN THAT I FOUND NOWHERE ELSE:

You are an A-Client for them, as well if you don't buy 100 licenses. People are very proactive to help you. They are friendly, efficient and helpful at all times. Support is personal and fantastic. (Thanks guys!)

You can give your feature requests and people keep track of them, and they make new versions go live every 2 months....

I don't say that Clarizen is perfect for everyone, but it works for us and is a perfect (and affordable) tool if you like to efficiently DEFINE, DELEGATE and then KEEP TRACK of work and tasks.

Best to all,

I am a Clarizen Customer since October. I started looking for a Collaboration tool to enhance the project collaboration of our teams that are not only distributed over the country (Italy), but are as well working on dislocated yards and sometimes dont even see each other for a week…

After weeks of research in groupware and many, various PM tools, my choices melt sown to ActiveCollab, JobLogs – and Clarizen.

- They can as well leave notes on there tasks, that then appear to the project manager as new note…
- Managers and everyone with a log-in can send Emails right from the task that will contain a link to the task – for perfectly quick context provision.
- Perfect for distributed project teams.
- “Resources” don’t need a license! They can be involved into the project plan for FREE… They can update the tasks assigned to them directly from their Outlook! You cannot make it easier to collect project progress information! That really is great.
- You can have all kinds of REPORTS on you projects and tasks….
- Time and budget tracking on projects!

AND ONE MORE GREAT THING ABOUT CLARIZEN THAT I FOUND NOWHERE ELSE:

You are an A-Client for them, as well if you don’t buy 100 licenses. People are very proactive to help you. They are friendly, efficient and helpful at all times. Support is personal and fantastic. (Thanks guys!)

You can give your feature requests and people keep track of them, and they make new versions go live every 2 months….

I don’t say that Clarizen is perfect for everyone, but it works for us and is a perfect (and affordable) tool if you like to efficiently DEFINE, DELEGATE and then KEEP TRACK of work and tasks.

Best to all,

If you'd like a tool for managing your time and projects, you can use this application inspired by David Allen's GTD:

http://www.Gtdagenda.com

You can use it to manage and prioritize your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, schedules and a calendar.
A mobile version is available too.

Hmm... Clarizen looks interesting. We are big fans of Basecamp (actually just wrote a review), but we'll have to check out.
