It can be hosted or on-premise. It supported file attachments (now yammer does too). I found it to me more feature rich, with a less cool name. You can't close the Save & Connect window (you can close the app but the window stays open). For fun try right-clicking in the taskbar to close the remaining Save & Connect window (make sure you have the task manager open).
