Saying “Microsoft Songsmith ruined all the classics” is rather like saying “this paintbrush put a moustache on the Mona Lisa!”

Yes, these are terrible mashups. But they are deliberately terrible mashups, and Songsmith is if anything to be commended for making it so easy for people to achieve the terrible songs of their dreams.
