President Obama surprised me with his speech: it was not the usual political rhetoric that we have seen, from both Democrat and Republic. I was amazed that he seemed to chide the politicians about the bipartisanshp, bickering, and scandals that have rocked the political landscape the last few years. I am pleased that he seemed more in tune with what is going on in the middle class. I hope his plans are not too little too late: I am one payment away from losing my house in California because all the talk about refiance home loans is just that: talk. I have lost my inheritance $ that was used as the down payment because the value of my home is $10K less than what I owe so I can't get the loan refinanced. I am without health insurance but I urge reform to start with all the medicare scams that are going on first. I work two jobs to keep what "nest egg" I do have and plan to work far into my retirement years now. Let's put global warming to rest and invest in alternative energy so that we can afford to run the A/C in Imperial Valley when the temperature exceeds 110 degrees without having to sacrifice food or fuel for our cars. Thank you! Venessa Cunningham:thetaxlady4u@gmail.com
