"Crunch" is not a word I like to hear combined with electronics. You may be painting an off-putting sublinal message with it.

Why not "Jack"--as in, "Without this, you don't know Jack"?

Hurry up and get this thing to market - more and more companies are restricting our internet access at work, so everyone is going to want one of these.

(take idea from MAC) how they custom modded their Kernel for specific hardware and locked out userside from really messing with it (and let advanced users do as they please at the same time).

Replaceable battery is a killer selling point to STUDENTS who take them about the educational establishment, people who travel lots (like me) and its overall a very good idea you should not overlook (perhaps the bottom cover should contain the battery)

Kids versions would be real cool with a special moded OS (look up Disney XP as a good example) and have it sell with like a rubber Glove and an extra thick screen cover (kids will press it hard).

(DEPENDING ON PRICE and market) I would give you 30% down on 100 on the spot and the rest in exactly 30 days, depending on sales (350-450) I would buy or not buy more (more Online vendors will follow suit)

-It really needs to be as thin as possible.
-No OS would be SUPER cool as long as it dousnt hamper the end user experience.
-The biggest fault most students and people in general find in a macbook is the Non-replaceable battery and you lose profits by not being able to sell 2nd 3rd batteries and warranty cost (not to mention reseller headache)
-Decode HD content (atleast to a usable extent)
-Screen covering whole front side (or atleast look it) would help sales, even if its a fingerprint magnet.
-Geforce/Nvidia runs HOT (ION-9100-9400m), , so you will have to do RD to make sure all of the >>surrounding<< hardware can handle 92c for a whole week (still a bit of a downside)
-Intel is an upcoming contender, their working on something new so they might be smarter then Qualcomm or ATI down the road but then again I guess in anti Nvidia to cut it short.

Thats my 5 cents,

P.S. Please dont forget to contact me about your project because If I want one for myself as soon as possible! I will get 2 or 3 at no more then 500 a piece (As long as it dousnt disappoint me)

I fully support a decision to take this into production, and if you decide to go that route I can tell you I'd definitely buy one and tell all my friends and family to do the same!

I think the keyboard needs to be larger (as it is I'd buy a USB keyboard and use it separately), and perhaps you can package it with a stand because I'm sure everyone doesn't want to fashion their own out of legos, as attractive as yours is :)

Great alternative for a laptop, just wonder why you use the Via Nano ? why not a ultra low power solution like the Omap3 ?, with a hard coded bootloader the system would also be more safe ~~ after all it's a internet only device, open for any attack
