From the developer who brought us twtpoll, Felipe Coimbra, now there is twtvite, an easy way to use Twitter or Facebook to create a micro-invite for your friends and followers. You create an invite on the twtvite site, and then micro-message with a tiny URL on Twitter or Facebook. The link takes people back to the site where they can RSVP. (See screenshot below).
I just created one for the Crunchies here.
Coimbra is creating a whole suite of Twitter apps, including twtvite, twtpoll, and twtcard. You can find them at TwtApps.

Suggestion: with all the Twitter posts on TC, maybe it’s time to register twitcrunch.com and move all the Twitter news there?
YawnLocator.com
yeah i am usually not bother but as of late it seems all of the post are twitter related it starting to be a big turnoff.
That’s why I created Twitdom…far too many Twitter apps these days. Twitdom consolidates all in one place.
Sorry for the plug!
I love Twitter very much, but there are so many “tools” out there for it now that I’m beginning to become numb to any new Twitter news. Twitter is easy enough as it is, input text, press enter.

Hmm, I’m not really clear how this is useful or helpful.
I RSVP’d saying I was coming, but there’s no possible way it knows whether that was really me or not. No Twitter login, no confirmation, nothing. Just simply added me to the list.
Case in point: Apparently Britney Spears is now coming to The Crunchies. (We’re carpooling…).
Dont be a womanizer when shes with you…:-)
You’re right, for some high profile events this isn’t the right tool.
But for a growing number of small tweetups and private gatherings, I think this can an easy and quick solution.
Very exciting to be on TC again. I hope some of you will find this useful! Thanks.
Excellent idea, i like it and gonna try it, but also it’ll be better if a the form can be appear in a single page or a feature to use it in out window.
anyway, it’s very good and deserve to care .
Looks cute.

People will eventually become numb to the non-stop Twitter coverage about the endless number of apps that get created daily. Folks might want to differentiate their products by naming them with something else besides “twit”, “tweet”, or “twt” at the beginning.
@TwitterTutor here =)
Now we start to think, why doesn’t Twitter implement these (awesome) features into Twitter themselves?
This is pretty much an exact clone of Twitzu.com which I created but t was later acquired.
