Groups: that most important missing aspect in Twitter helpful when following over 1000 user, so u only read who u really care more about.

I made several suggestions based on my experiences with iTweet, and for the most part the developer of Tweetvisor was amenable to them. I’m optimistic that a lot of the features of iTweet (which is the best Web-based client I’ve come across in a lot of ways) will end up in Tweetvisor in relatively short order.

..I was twitter naysayer for the longest time until i spent more time just watching the discussions taking place. Unlike FB, twitter enables short, quick connections w/people all over the globe which may lead to deeper connections.

Additionally, it is a valuable source of news and what’s on peoples minds. Because of this I no longer even visit news sites or use RSS.

Alas, twitter is *much more* than the benign ‘what are you doing’ question as promoted by the misguided team at twitter. It is really a platform for global communication, news and personal recording w/very low barrier to user adoption. It has the potential to displace FB and sites like Linkedin.

Hey Nelu, I understand the use of your site and why you chose it. Twitter is obviously popular. I’m just pondering the general appeal of Twitter. Arrington raves about it five articles a day…

I have an account and I think it’s quite dull. On the other hand, I think reading facebook updates is much more fun, and isn’t limited by 140 characters or massive downtimes. Overall, I think Twitter is a subpar service compared to the wide variety of ways to micro-blog on Facebook.

Marvin, I agree. Regarding tweetvisor, http://www.brightkit.com UI is way more intuitive, and allows for multiple twitter accounts and stats.

Managing multiple Twitter accounts through the day, I still find it easier to segregate by using Tweedeck (my personal fave from both a design & functionality standpoint) and the standard Twitter browser window. This ensure that no unintentional cross-messaging occurs.

Frankly, as a new Tweetdeck convert, you’re going to have a tough time convincing me that an unattractive interface like Tweetvisor is going to be a staple in my social media daily routine.

IMHO.
