Having leved this criticism, it is important to note that elected officials need to begin to deal with bigger pictureissue and quite ignoring long term effects of acting to satisfy special interest groups at the long term expense of the greater clooective–the people at llarge.

Why is it a young male Latino blogger with no credentials, thinks he has enough qualifications & machismo to make bitch-like comments on one of the worlds most successful businesswomen? After you build a multibillion dollar company baby – come back and pile that stuff as high as you think you’re capable of spewing from that miniscule brainlike head…….

I’ve never met her personally, but I also spent some time at eBay, and its software development and product management efforts were both terrible, so inefficient and sclerotic that you’d think that they were in a company 5x the size and 10x the age. The only people I know who still work there are ones whose visa needs mean they’d have to leave the country if they quit.

As far as I could tell, the only things that kept eBay in business were an effective monopoly and an incredibly strong technical operations group. Whitman seemed to have a genuine touch for dealing with the community, and a sense of humility that is regrettably rare in CEOs. But having her run an organization I’m part of is not an experience I plan to repeat.
