YouTube is posting their year end review of the top videos, measured by ratings, favorites and number of comments.
Last year they posted just 10 videos. This year, 24. They’ll be posting one per hour all day today and then summarize them at midnight when everyone will presumably find them much funnier because they’ve been drinking for hours (hopefully not alone watching the Big Apple fall live on Hulu).
Make your guesses on which videos will be included. I’ve started things off with the one above, which I imagine is very likely to be included.
One major concern is the effects on those Youtube video promotion services that sprang up last year.
One now wonders how much outsourced promotion has biased the results in terms of overall popularity
I hope people, especially Americans, understand that we’re living through a pivotal year in history. Just as nobody today remembers who was the president before and after Lincoln, 100 years from now, it is very possible that nobody will remember who Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Carter are, but they will mostly learn about Obama.
And YouTube plays a part in taking us up to this point.
Congratulations, YouTube. Congratulations to all of us. As flawed as we Americans are, we made a difference this year.

As for the Videos to be included, It depends on categories. Armature, Commercial, blah blah? I recon politics will have a huge chunk (Jeremiah Wright, Palin’s Interviews and Several of Obama’s not forgetting Obama girl!)
I am only hoping YouTube will include Jizz in My Pants from Andy Samberg of Dick in a Box fame. It’s too funny.
