I used to be an actor, and found that Reality TV came about because the execs at major production companies realized it would be cheaper to get a bunch of people to act like morons for prizes, offering them shallow rewards and 15 minutes of fame, instead of paying actors and actresses millions of dollars.

Reality TV brings in the money and is low cost in comparison to dealing with writers, actors, directors etc.

All you need is a hand held camera, a field producer, and people at the top to call shots when it gets ‘too real’ to the point where it is not interesting.

Afterall…reality…is boring. ‘Surreality’ or the performance of reality is more like it.

This makes perfect sense since there are so many bad reality shows and so many people (losers) that want to see themselves on TV. Networks like VH1 and Bravo survive because of non-scripted television shows. Maybe this site can help Flavor Flav find his 6th wife…

Wow. This site is unbelievable. Up until now I never believed that the people I was seeing on these shows were for real. They seemed to insane. After clicking through the profiles on this site I now know that not only was I way off, but it appears as if there is even another level that these people operate on. The even lower rung of aspiring reality star. Thank you, this is maybe the most captivating website I’ve ever browsed through.

Just what we need, more unrealistic reality… because apparently, real life is now fantasy.

We really hope that the hopes of these upcoming stars dont just get into the drains. Some day the deserving guys would really become stars, but from the last couple years all the TV channels are filled with these kind of programs!
