I know what it’s supposed to be, but I also know what it looks like, and all I’m saying is that MobileAge may want to think about creating a different icon for their $9.99 iPhone app (which you can download here). Thanks Mike for sending this in (and also Gizmodo).

I could see the wine glass… I think because I looked from the top down. But a quick glance does reveal what you observed. An image with double meaning… how… psychological. Freud would love it.

I saw that first and a wine glass second when I came across the icon in the appstore yesterday.

This could possibly be a useful image for psychologists to use. I had to ask someone else to tell me what the deal was with the picture. Despite that, what they said to me hasn’t helped me see it – I must be a bit too left-hemisphere for my own good!

Of course. A clever approach, although some people may not like it. It was intentional, and not a big deal because is not much left that could shock us… Otherwise, think about it, why on earth would you show the middle of a wine glass? These guys are smart!

Why don’t you guys come up with the review or material about Christmas/Holiday Iphone apps? It’s funny there is ton of those out there! Someone giving more insight on their sales during the rush period would be very much appreciated.
