Fucking French bastards. You're just jealous because America is better and all French people are pussies.

Hey, I got a[n old] joke.

What's the difference between a French woman and a basketball team?

The basketball team showers after four periods.

Sorry, but I can't bite my tongue any more - I have been waiting for the sycophantic back-slapping to calm down:

I'm glad they finally got around to releasing the 'new' version, after months and months of waiting. It is nice.

But why did *this* have to take so long? (No more excuses about stabilising the back-end please) I expected a lot more than this from such a well funded company in such a hot bed of talent.

Based on the seesmic API, this new layout and change of color on the Flash widget could have been done in about 2 weeks, if that.

Is the only way to see the full thread of the conversation through the Flash player widget?

And why, when someone adds a new reply to a thread, does it say it has 'x replies' when it doesn't? It has 'x posts in the thread' - not replies. Always found that one confusing.

I'm not saying that what I built on my system is in any way perfect : there are a load of usability issues I am aware of. I'm always first to admit it. So don't get me wrong here.

I simply expected a lot more when I got a sneak peek of this redesign a few days ago. And I know I'm not alone.

Money poorly spent. Good luck.

I like the new Seesmic site as it look simple and less 'overwhelming and heavy'.

Suggested Improvement to Seemsic
1) ubiquitous search - I'm surprised though that Seesmic lacks search function that appear at top of the site. This is something user expect to find since search function becomes a common feature for any video service.

2) Embedded Thumbnail Video Playback - I really like that one could just playback the thumbnail video quickly in the Video List without just going to the video's dedicated page. Beside, the video really look better, sharper and less intimidating in thumbnail size. Now, can the thumbnail playback be applied to embedded video as well ? So that user can just playback the thumbnail without enlarging the video by default, perceptively avoiding "resizing distraction", and make user more likely to click on it.

3) Allow and show a short attention-seeking text to video. Unlike text, a video is hard to seek attention until it is played and user usually wouldn't want to click on video until something pique their curiousity. Putting some short "marketing/interesting" quotes from the video might be useful.

By the way, withot the US support of the france (maquisard) resistance, or the support that been sent - through Archanges - to Russia, or without the US disembarkation at Sicily... WW2 could't been ever won.
So, show some respect.

Guys, you're a hell-of-a-fun acting like a kids in a kindergarten.

Get over with stupid cultural fights. Life looks different here in Europe, as it looks different in USA, Asia, Australia, Africa etc. The only way to prove anything is to take a look at real life effects.

Loic, getting into it and proving that Michael's comment about Europe somehow bothers you just got your hands dirty.

Some critics shouldn't be addressed directly.

"Flash sucks for dynamic content"

Really?
http://www.gametube.org

Maybe you should try to get to know Flash a little bit before stating such nonsenses?

Flash is heavy on CPU, and sucks when it comes to google rankings, true.
But that's all. You can do anything with Flash, you just need to be skilled at it.

Technically, no one called you. If it wasn't for Pearl Harbor, USA would've stayed out of this war. There were actually more nazis in US than in Mussolini's Italy.

Man, you may know a lot about Web 2.0, but obviously your knowledge of history is VERY limited. Thus give us a break and go back to wikipedia first.

And without a european (named albert einstein), you guys wouldn't have had the atomic bomb and would all speak japanese.
