I think its a good idea to keep the service as basic as possible without all that music service, youtube embed videos, playlist, etc.

In the time that almost every website by some ”law” has to have a audio&video player/content otherwise it wont be a ‘hit’ it’s good to see that some try to keep it simple..

Funny, I’ve been using a site called uplayme.com for months now, it does all the stuff Twones claims to do AND it works with Safari. Haha.

Just download the little plug-in from their website and you’ll create an online profile that gets updated with all your music and video plays. Simple.

And they’re out of beta, so anyone can get a free profile and download. Enjoy.

The funny thing is that the first site I go to when I want to check out a song is YouTube. Twones allowes me to track these tracks as well. This is more “discovery based”: when I listen music for the first few times, it’s always online. It’s where LastFM is missing the boat.

You have to remember that Twones is still in private beta, so support for other browsers (like Safari) and other online platforms will be added on a regular basis!

(Disclosure: I share offices and drink beers with the Twones guys.)
