Yes, very good point. Brightcove has been flying by the seat of its pants since its inception. It’s just not profitable and has tried multiple business models to no avail. I think it’s just a matter of time before they fold.

Wow this is some hot reporting; just a question how many of these partners were already on board as existing Brightcove customers (for their 1.x and 2.x platform)?

Also, I seem to recall that earlier this year BCove said they would not profitable by year end, could we get some press on where they stand in relation to that goal?

Oh and they just layed off 25ppl, I wonder if those 25 will be using the APIs for a video resume of some type.

We’ve always thought Brightcove was a better designed UI and report aggregator, but most of our userbase is overseas in Asia…

…and the loading time for their videos was just outrageous (sometimes up to 10 minutes to load a 1 min video).

I’m trying to load the BC video on TC and it’s been almost five minutes and hasn’t loaded yet. (I’m on a regular DSL line in Taiwan).

We emailed them a year ago about this, but got very poor support and response about international server times.

If they can figure this out, they can really expand their teach IMO.
