Notifymewhenitsup has a much simpler interface, which is important when providing a simple solution which people do not want to spend much time figuring out.

It may not provide SMS updates, but I don’t see any need for this myself as if I have net access to access the site, then I can access my emails anyway.

How about “Notify me when it’s down?” For mostly vague, unfathomable reasons, that would come in handier for me than “Notify me when it’s up” – although that’s a pretty good service, too.

thanks for informing my about Ding It’s Up. My site did not rip off this site, but instead it was the other way around. I was sharing my idea with a friend of mine, but it turns out this “friend” just decided to completely copy the design and idea.

It’s a real pity. I’d like to clarify that I AM NOT a ripper, he is.

About dingitsup.com, this isn’t a very hard thing to do, what’s the point in waiting to launch it. Put it online as soon as it’s done, i.e. a couple hours after you start, and leave it at that. Dumbasses.
