Kyte is in a crowded market where there are recognised players.They are in probably not well positioned to compete well.

The way they may be able to differentiate and do well could be in the India and China market (two of the largest mobile markets in the world) if they are able to take the first mover or strategic advantage.

I have been following Kyte for almost seven months now, I think they are yet to see some real customers in the corporate and enterprise segment. They probably have been promoting it through a few well known music bands as you can see in their website(case study).

Well, perhaps it’s a good service to try if you are a musician. But test out if the content will indeed reach its destination predictibly……….

I think Nokia has been Kyte’s investor. Would this mean, we may expect Nokia to bundle Kyte player and ship it around the markets they serve in the world?

Sony Ericsson should work fine. Just try on your mobile browser – you can find some examples here: http://m.kyte.tv/expo

Kyte branded mobile web is made for most mobile browsers. There might be some exceptions, but most common phones that can play video should work fine.

Kyte’s platform or service has to improve a lot. The quality of services is pretty low. There have been performance issues.

You can try for yourself to compare with Qik and Flixwagon for mobile or Justin TV /Ustream for the web who offer much better services
