Here's a screen of what you have to look at while waiting for Apple to approve your iPhone app. Note that this is for an app upgrade, but the original approval is nearly identical:

Intriguing yes, perfect... no but that's ok, they're early stage.

What I don't understand is how do they make money? What's the proposition? They, like others in this space, are mostly giving away their service for free. To what end? To charge users a fee during a transaction effected using thier service? I wouldn't pay it. Advertising? Isn't that already a tired, ineffective model? Hard to imagine that Sequoia is funding these guys after seeing the content of the ppt they destributed to their portfolio companies.

This is one of the suckiest search apps I have seen - Klunky, slow and their search results suck. they do not even support most of the basic zoon, pinch and other interface elements. Take a cue from Cooliris and make the app look beautiful and useful at the same time.

My bet is that soon Cooliris will allow users to search over any search engine of your choice using their awesome interface, and then SearchMe will have to lay off the rest of their employees (Rumor has it that they already let go of 50% of their employees last month).

We have been using SearchMe search and it is intriguing. This type of format will be popular with the hi tech crowd.

But their SERPs still lack relevancy because of long periods between updates and new sites added
