They are not intended to provide insightful information on how to better execute and monetize businesses. Instead, they are created for the organizers to profit from. It's a really good business if you think about it. Just create a panel of supposed "Internet celebrities" and have them talk about the same things they talk about at the 800 other conferences, and charge people to attend. Because these conferences and parties are not intended to educate or assist budding entrepreneurs in their ventures. They are not intended to provide insightful information on how to better execute and monetize businesses. Instead, they are created for the organizers to profit from.

It’s a really good business if you think about it. Just create a panel of supposed “Internet celebrities” and have them talk about the same things they talk about at the 800 other conferences, and charge people to attend.
