Conservativism wasn’t defeated this time because it wasn’t on the ticket. We just proved you really can buy an election and the Federal Election Commissioin is a farce.

There are plenty of examples where conservativism was successful and precious few where socialism and liberalism worked. Conservativism fails when we stop being conservative. African Americans would wield a whole lot more power if they held the rights feet to the fire and made them walk the walk of conservativism and not pander to those seeking to keep them as “slaves” to liberalism with a stipend and no opportunity. Things mean less to you if they are given, guaranteed and free.

I was constantly amazed at what the sheep who were all moon eyed over Obama DIDN’T know about their candidate. The hysterical claims regarding Palin and McCain and ignorance, sometimes willfully about Obama. At least I supported McCain in spite of his many failings because I knew what they were and chose the lesser of two evils.

I had hoped my kids, who by the way supported Obama and were as ignorant as anyone else about him, wouldn’t have to endure another Jimmy Carter but it seems each generation has difficulty learning from the previous one. Their indoctrination in college is the likely culprit for their attitude or the cult of personality we have from the sludge that passes for entertainment on TV.

Government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take it all away from you. Keep your eyes open because unless Obama really is the Messiah, he can’t possibly live up to the hype or deliver on his promises.
