I believe facebook is gaining prominence globally because they’ve made great efforts to make their platform available in many languages. Myspace hasn’t been so successful in that.

Facebook is being used more for business and that is attrative to small business owners and professionals. Facebook has been a great tool for me and I think anyone looking to stay engaged should consider Facebook although I do believe both have value.

I got into FB for about 10 months, now I don’t really use it. I found people I know on FB, but in general I find more interesting people still on MySpace. I think FB is about who you already know and is good for that. MySpace is more about finding new & interesting things. Each provides their own service.
