Google Apps mail does indeed support Gmail Labs. You have to make sure that ‘Turn on new features (like group chat or colored labels)’ is enabled in the domain settings. After a day or two the Labs tab appears on the Google Apps Gmail settings.

Totally agree. The *paid* version of things like GMail (the version for Google Apps) actually has less functionality than the free, non-business version. It’s not just the Google Labs stuff that’s missing. Integration across apps, sharing features and other things are missing too.

I know it must have been hard for google to ignore the fact that Google Apps users might want to have calendar in the mail. Yup, exactly like Gmail has. Also – like Outlook.

Why does google hide the really cool/useful tools that were built for gmail. My best guess is they want to maintain a certain quality on their apps side – but heck – put an opt-in button and enable the labs for us all!
