that’s the stupidest bloody f’ing thing i’ve heard. yet, you’re basically just repeating the crap you hear from you uneducated friends and the media. what change? what exactly do you think Obama is going to accomplish? name one thing, just one thing, that he has done in the past 175 whopping days he has been in the senate that will help this country. lower taxes for 90% of americans? what crap – only 50% of those people even pay taxes. i paid nearly $200k in taxes last year and he wants me to pay more…for what? so more people can go on welfare and use the money i have worked 80 hours each week to earn?

how can you say “he is just better” without being able to provide any specific reason? what’s the actual reason you’re voting for someone so inexperienced? you should be embarrased.

It’s not just moronic black americans who will vote for Obama, it’s moronic white, chinese, muslim, italian…americans who have not read past the media-hyped headlines to internalize the facts (note the word fact) that Obama has less than 200 days of experience in the Senate, never served our country, has identified more than $1 trillion in new spending, will reduce taxes for a minority group of people who pay less than 7% of the nation’s revenue, has no international relations experience, and wants to sit across the table and have a joyful conversation with jihadist terrorists. Obama claims to not have known that the people he has maintained relations with for decades have anti-American views. That’s just plain ignorant and not the sign of a leader. Obama is not fit to lead this country. Whether you are black, white or asian American, Obama will not lead this country in the right direction. He does not salute our flag. He is a disgrace and has manipulated millions of people to think change just for the sake of change is a good thing. Ridiculous.

Right now we are on the verge of seeing this nation become more divided than ever before. No matter who wins! When this election is over, we are going to see a whole level of hatred for our president. Wether it’s from people who didn’t want Obama to win or people who didn’t want McCain to win. Whoever wins, that president will not only have the difficult task of fixing the nation but try to win over those that oppose him.

I just hope we’re a nation who can come together and work on making things better for everyone and not come together only when a devistating tradegy hits us such as 9/11.

I think this is why this clip succeeds – almost 2,7 million views so far, in five days:

Collective memory
First of all, most people (at least in the US) has memories of the original Wassup ads. These memories are fond or not so fond, but nonetheless they remind people of something. It is something we can gather around and talk about, because we all recognize it.

Current events
Besides the obvious – the US election – the clip touches on a number of issues that are currently on the agenda. Issues like employment, the war in Iraq, health care, the financial crisis, the environment/climate threat etc. The timing of the clip is great.

Humor
This clip has a serious touch to it. It is of course exaggerated, but it is done with humor. We all like to share something funny.

Obama fans
From what it seems right now, a little more than half of the voters in the US have an incentive to pass this clip on. By passing it on, they promote their preferred candidate – Obama. I can imagine that McCain fans are not as keen on passing it on.
