This could be a great engine for relevant, location-based advertisement. I am still puzzled to how they are going to get the accurate location, more accurate than the basic IP geocoding.

I don’t get why Google and Mozilla seem to keep duplicating each other’s efforts (first Google with Chrome, now this) when they seemed to have a pretty good working relationship. Why wouldn’t Mozilla leverage the open, and now not Google-owned, Gears? They’re already solving the mobile question, which is where location is most useful.
