Rick, agree with you 100%. It is just a hysteria when everyone starts selling off after they hear anything that sounds like a good reason - without double checking or even thinking it over. Definitely a good time to buy because I can hardly believe it will last forever.

Huberty has been off by as much as 20% in her previous AAPL earnings forecasts. She's dumb, end of story. If you sell because of her, you are an idiot.

Gotta love those who think apple is arrogant (james) that pov comes from a lack of knowledge. the "experts" always tear apple apart, doesn't matter what's happening its apples fault. when times get tough americans like to go into denial ad buy something to make them feel better. unless you feel the world is coming to an end and we are facing a global depression, (in which case stocks, bonds, cash will all be worthless) then you have to realize that this is a big FEAR talking, not all companies need credit to run, not all people need credit to get thru the month, in fact a very small % of people and businesses need credit on that level to function in this country, which only highlights that this bail out is just that and the market will stabilize as congress wastes time. congress will not get anything done tomorrow or wednesday or thursday, and guess what? you think the market is going to keep dropping? 9k, 8k. 5k, 1k, ZERO? not a chance, stocks go low and big money buys it up and the biggest buyer in a low market is the US government, they are loving this mini crash they have created it allows them to buy in at 10k instead of 15k with those 100's of billions of $ made from the oil raping we have been taking.

when the T+3 day takes hold and all day trading is outlawed to "take hold and hold for 3 days" then big solid manufacturing type companies will rocket. companies like apple, ford, gm, etc.

This is only the start.
We all know Apple positions itself as the elite and more costly option.
In hard or questionable times, you purchase what will do the job. And that's not apple which is in general 2x as much as a equivalent PC...

Apple computer hardware will be hit hard. Comes with the arrogance.

I'm long on AAPL. I'll pick up some more shares at current prices, although I don't think the carnage is over. Today's vote down certainly didn't help matters overall. Everything was down. Might be a good idea to not jump back into the market until some finality is brought to the bailout proposal, and the market starts to stabilize again. AAPL will likely drop beneath $100 this week at this rate.

If Apple isn't planning on getting into lower-priced devices, care to take a guess as to what upcoming 'event' they were referring to in their last earnings report which indicated they could be seeing lower margins in the near future?

I am long AAPL, picked up another 50 shares last week, and another 50 shares this week on the drops to $125 and $110.

One thing to keep in mind -- the more marketshare Apple builds, the more their "halo effect" can take hold. Hook people in with a lower priced laptop, down the road they're buying an ipod, an apple tv, an imac, etc. They're converting their friends.

Definitely a great time to buy, considering all the revenue that has yet to be reported for the iTunes Apps Store growth. The stock is down as part of the selling frenzy, analysts are actually placing AAPL in their "safe" lists. Last time this stock was downgraded, research firms flipped to "Upgrade" two weeks later.

I picked up a few dozen shares. Apple's been good to me in the past - I bought originally at $25/share, sold at $180. Anyone downgrading their stock must not have an iPhone...
