This phone looks cool and is the best new gadget of the year.
You know you want one so stop trying to talk yourself out of it by saying to yourself my I-Phone is better. The I-Phone is so out of style kinda like those Capri things all the girls were wearing a few months ago or the poncho look!! Throw away that old trash and upgrade.
You Know You Want One It Is Your Destiny!!!!

I am a tmobile customer, I'm happy that there is finally a new phone coming to tmobile &definitely would try this phone out but i'm still disappointed in the specs of where phones should be at, at this point in technology. No wonder the US falls short, it's all about marketing, just another buyer/consumer rant. Be a proud American of consumerism.... no wonder Japan &other countries far exceed their technology and phones as we lack them... while we just make new phones which have poor specs and usually don't change much when a newer version comes out. It disappoints me how much better this phone can be, the interface is nothing compared to the iPhone i'll give you that, thought it could be much better, even the HTC touch pro & HTC diamond that was picked up by sprint has a much nicer interface. This phone still has a keyboard, no touch keyboard. There's still no video! Surprisingly theres NO windows mobile on here, might be a problem &can fall short because of that. The design is decent but the little curve at the end makes it pointless? HTC &google just trying to switch things up? Lets not copy the iPhone and curve it on the end? Disappointing, it might as well just be solid flat. It's a bummer that phones can't even have the great basic components. Such as good picture quality, atleast by now video, flash, a sleeker design, advanced graphics with a newer GUI, copy, paste, select, forward, voice-dialing, etc. This phones mainly just for the "new" tmobile 3G network and just helps Google expand, considering you need a "google" account and the phones main deal is pretty much using the internet on the new network. All the things you can do with the faster 3G internet. PUT BETTER SPECS!

You are so right because I was interested in the phone to but if it doesn't have that camera flash or video then I don't want it. I currently have a blackberry curve and that doesn't have video which I think is bull but I like the phone. I just hope the add video like they did with the sidekicks. These cell phone companies don't know what to do but I think if they add flash and video then this phone will be a hit!!

I have try the Telephone...and it is NOT same smart phone like the Iphone. First of all, Iphone come with fast 8 gb and need not to put in slow SD cards in it. And if you need more there is 16 gb and soon 32 gb in the stores. Yes this phone have 3.1 mp but did I need it?? Its only a marcetingtrick from Google to make this phone litle more interessting. The tangentboard in form of sladebar is even a bad technician idé. HTC tried this form before but the costumers dont like it. This telephone is dead before it was born.

I've done a ton of research on this from various sites and have compiled and compared what was being said. And believe me...this phone will blow the iPhone out of the watter. Yeah, the iPhone looks better and is the first of it's kind, so people will be stuck on anythng other as being a "copy", but tech-wise, this will be a better phone. But there are some pros and cons in comparison with this, the instint, iPhone, and whatever verizon has, as far as specs wise....but trust me, this phone is that deal. Let's just hope Google and Tmobile get the kinks out so there's no "iPhone like" bugs to work out. Cuz i just ordered my G1 tonight.

No video, No flash? NEXT...I can careless about a 3.1 camera and 3g..if the phone cant even have video recording or flash, its of no use. I was thinking it would be great upgrade to my curve, but if there is no video, forget flash, then I'm out.

I would imagine that the gmail requirement is only for the one touch access to gmail. Not that hard to figure out really.

IPhone 3G specs
Size and weight
Height: 4.5 inches (115.5 mm)
Width: 2.4 inches (62.1 mm)
Depth: 0.48 inch (12.3 mm)
Weight: 4.7 ounces (133 grams)

So this phone is almost exact in specs to iphone except the .9 ounce heavier weight

I've got 3G phones of various brands since 2003 (I'm in Italy) and I've always been able to record videos. If trashing the connection's not been a problem here it shouldn't be a problem in the States too. I really wonder what Apple and Google have against video captures. Battery life? Not a problem here. I'm puzzled.
