Phreadz and Seesmic competitor 12seconds.tv, which we’ve billed as the true “video Twitter” because it restricts clips to twelve seconds in length, has opened its private beta doors for one day only in celebration of Talk Like A Pirate Day.
While registration isn’t usually open to the public, today’s visitors to 12seconds.tv will get a chance to record their best impressions of a pirate and get a permanent account in return. They will also be awarded a special pirate badge that will show up on their profile pages.
Think you’re ready to unleash your inner Jack Sparrow or Blackbeard? Visit 12seconds’ homepage to record, or just watch other landlubbers making scurvy fools of themselves below:

Ahoy, place you soul on the map (http://www.umap...s/edit/id/9112/) or feed the fish!
Blaggard, here is the link Pirate Map
I interviewed the founders of “Talk Like a Pirate Day” to find out how it spread virally.
They said not trademarking the concept really helped, because anyone could run with it and help the idea spread.

Yaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! hehehe. funny. (I actually come from a part of the UK where people talk loike poirates every day!
)
12seconds aren’t a competitor
if anything they’re a virtual partner!
Sure, both Seesmic and 12Seconds have the ability to record a video in the browser, but Phreadz does a whole lot more than either of them
You can use Seesmic, or 12Seconds posts AS Phreadz posts too, you see?
When either of them support all the other media types, features and functions that Phreadz can, then I would consider them competition of sorts. Even then, I would embrace them in a symbiotic media hug.
It like saying Word is a competitor to Photoshop, just because you can type and display text.
Honestly, if your product/site didn’t have the most ridiculous name ever conceived, I’d be able to review it without bias. As it is, you’re never going to be taken even remotely seriously.
Says the dude with the shrooms a s his avatar…
Have you ever hear of the band Phish? Or the word Phat?
I dont know what 3rd world sess pool you are from. but their are millions of people that relate to spellings like that here in the US (protip: we count).
Maybe you don’t relate, but these people are the trustafarians (eg, lots of cash). Don’t be a pompous ass.
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!
RRRRRRRRRRRR UUUUUUUUUUU FUCKINGGGGGGGGGGG SSSSSSSSSSSSSERIOUSSSSSSSS????????
You don’t quite get the pirate thing do you?
