Pitty the Dropbox guys had bad luck and Wifi trouble. Their product is awesome.
I can't believe they failed to mention their revision/version control feature, which allows you to access any version of any file that has been modified. :(

Drop box was just to nervous. Too many, I am sorry, sorry, sorry. Plus it was a very hard act to follow after SWIPE.

Between SWIPE and The Japanese team they were off the charts from a user's perspective.

ExchangeP is a retarded idea. Let me trade fake currency in startup companies on the basis of no information (oh wait, we have an address and a url). Trading is based on hype they get and traders' "educated" opinion in the hopes of winning prizes (pizzeria uno's gift certificates anyone?). Tesla is valued at $900 million. Right right.

Except for unemployed TechCrunch readers, who would do this? Riztarded. There is no value in the information this platform provides and no revenue model I can glean from this nor is this solving any problem of any kind. Do they think bankers or VCs will want this information? Keep dreaming guys. For those who might say, it taps into the wisdom of crowds, please take your buzzwords elsewhere. It's a good book, but the crowd or herd is often stupid - like the idea behind ExchangeP.

I'm shocked that something this lame made the top 50. I'm not sure if Bird Post is real or if Ashton is punking us cuz that is a strange one. But at least there is some group of people out there who are really really into that and who might use the service and pay for it.

On a positive note, the event has been pretty great. Nice job TC.

"BusinessCrunch" ... Nice. Great idea. We need something like this that can showcase financially successful companies for others to learn and emulate from.

Otherwise, we keep focusing on kids with "cool" ideas but no biz plan. It has destroyed the entire ecosystem from start-up to VC's and exits.
