Couple of surprises:
• Genius provides "the iTunes store, all the time."
• The sidebar is nothing but a list of recommended purchases.
• Apple has force-inserted the unwanted arrow-link to the iTunes store into music lists. This was something people had the option to turn off since v1. Now it's required (no opt-out).
• If you turn-off Genius and want to turn it on again, you have to go through the entire 5-20 minute sign-up process again, including the 2x EULAs.

Basically, a bold move for Apple iTunes store, but intrusive for users.

WHAT ARE YOU, FREAK APPLE-FANS COMPLAINING!!!!

I'm a Treo Palm OS addict. AN ADDICT!!!... and their new product comes only in the Windows Mobile platform. So much for their ex-Apple and iPod guru bringing life to Palm.

Even worst, I'm with Sprint, and if I want something similar to the iPhone, I get offered the crappy Instinct.

Now please go ahead and raise my taxes, gimme government-controlled healthcare, put DRM on all my music, tap my bandwidth limit and force me to be an union worker, because I'm having a very technologically bad day.

Not even an evening at Fry's will cheer me up.

Nice enough event, but pretty yawn-worthy products imo.

The new iPods are just a redesigned case with not much else; are we finally hitting the limit of what an iPod can do?

Sure the physical shake to shuffle songs is cute and fun, and that's the issue right there; we're down to getting new "cute & fun" features to justify the upgrades.

Colour me unimpressed, I have no reason to upgrade my trusty 30 GB iPod classic-before-Classic-was-a-model-name. If at least new MBPs or even an updated Mini (God knows it needs an update), I would've happily thrown money at Jobs. :P

such a joke, 2.1 should have been what they came out with from the start. They should be pushing through new features like copy paste now, or getting push going. It's absolutely killing me to not have copy/paste on this phone.
