"Maybe I’ll try to find something my girlfriend and I disagree on and post it"
If you have to "try" to find something that you guys disagree on... then you may not have a "relationship"
But again, who knows? your girlfriend could be the silent [inflatable] kind...

Those "Can this marriage be saved" articles that do this format (his version, her version, the counselor's version) are very popular. But then again so is Jerry Springer. Jer-ry! Jer-ry!

Haven't read all of the comments so someone might have already suggested this very obvious idea, but if they make this video-based (seesmic or whatever) it might actually have legs.

I wonder if they can parlay this into some sort of online dating/matchmaking model? Though I dunno if you can really take the worst sides of people and make a functional dating site out of it.

And for everyone that is coming down on this- I think maybe you are taking your lives too seriously. Sure, this will never get funded and probably won't even turn a profit, but it's good for a chuckle, and looks as though its has honest intentions. Smile a bit :)

It should have less of a male-female, relationship-type theme. Not getting all pro gay here just feel like this should be more neutral looking to include political discussions too or, like, those involving to roommates.

We're a 2nd generation financial community that just hit our 1,000,000th visitor for the year (http://blog.agoracom.com/2008/08/28/agoracom-surpasses-1000000-small-cap-micro-cap-investors-for-the-year/ ) and turning 7 digit profits WITHOUT $1 of advertising revenue. We sponsored TC40 last year, spoke with Mike directly, called him 5 times ... and still can't get someone at TC to cover our story.

I had no problem with this until I saw this dumb a$$ story about an online Jerry Springer site with no hope in hell of turning a dollar in profit.

Pretty sad state of reporting affairs when real Web 2.0 companies with real customers, revenues, profits and traffic take a back seat to these kinds of stories.

I disagree with most of the comments here. I don't watch the shows mentioned and I don't have much of a use for the site, but I think it's a very good concept and it could be pretty successful.

If people use it to sledge each other over huge issues such as cheating then it's nothing more than Jerry Springer and only the lowest common denominator will end up using it for their own internal wars. However, if it's used to get a crowds opinion on issues which bother/annoy someone but aren't going to determine the outcome of their relationship, then you have a platform for helping people realise they're being unfair or selfish, etc. and there's a good chance they'll chance the habit if they see that others think they're wrong.

I definitely think it could work but the audience who pick it up will dictate its outcome.

I like the content the users added to the site, and in general it looks like a good job was done there, really liked "his tags" and "her tags" nice to see both parties view on the matter.
Though im missing a good discussion features there.

In www.AllRise.com (which is similar in some aspects) a bigger focus was made just on the discussion, but i guess these are different views on public disputes.
