Hi Frankieboy,

A method of enabling a one-click service has in fact not been available in the US for both digital and physical goods. Yes, your first purchase does require entry of appropriate data, but all subsequent purchases are in fact one click enabled. No username/password or PIN required nor is necessary to set up an account on a web site. Its a very elegant solution.

I might note that we have no reliance on operators for authentication. Its very independent in that respect.

Your assessment of the click total might be applicable for the first purchase. However, all future purchases are in fact one click. This is the beauty of the service.

Mhh is this realy a revolution – its like the same as using a password – means – there are several services where i can make Transactions on my mobile Phone with my creditcard- okay here they are not asking me again for a “Username” and “Password” A revolution would be when the telecom companys woudl find a solution as they use in there actual portals for example in Europe all telecom companys have got there good payment systems – but as an developer it is to expensive and they want mostlay up to 50% of the Transaction Volume so it is not interesting for the massmarket – they should find an solution moslty for all providers in one country that would be a start and bring down there fees to lets say 3% or something like that – thats an revolution -here this system is just a “nicer” way to do it but i know nearly the same models from some payment solution providers

This is a good concept. I’m sure they must have done studies via sampling the population before they put this concept in production. It would be interesting to see how it works, as I’m sure it’s user-friendly.

There is no revolution here. This has been possible for years, but not just used in the US.

1. Paypal mobile and other actors are available with more payment options.
2. Since the service relies on operator authentication, operators can always block the service.
3. Look at the statistics for how many users fall off when asked to enter their cc details on the mobile. The past has shown this simply does not work.

How much did Billing Revolution pay to get this article?

Operators (and especially US ones) do not realize that if they open up their payment and authentication systems they will create a new business opportunity.

Just click once to buy. click 10 times to punch in your credit card. click once more to click enter. click once to close your browser. click twice to open the sms message you just received. click to follow the URL in said received sms. click accept on the url.
