Rogers dosn't have a cap then cut you off.
They have a charge per gig after that level is reached, up to 25.00/month extra.
Which I pay on my rogers bill almost every month because I always blow over my 95 gig allowance, and it's usually more like 250 gig/month.

I thought you people said you were users???

Because we like our freedom, why the cap, except they don't want to have to spend money on upgrading, today 60 maybe tomorrow 30 or 20, why not like most things once you allow it, it gets abused, or is there a law in canada that says, you can not lower it any more, I would guess not.

I used to download movies, I now go to sites like Joox where they stream the movie just like YouTube does. I don't need to have it on my harddrive.
I have an iMac (2 years old) and I have a Toshiba laptop (5 years old).
I sync those two with foldershare.
I bought me a harddrive 3 times bigger for my laptop. I don't need more data!
It's only going to get worse.
I plan on buying a smartphone, I will sync my phone with my laptop and my Mac. It's not going to work, and there's no way I can keep this up, I need to have my data in the cloud and I need access, anytime, anywhere, on any device.
I want my data to be in the cloud.
And I want to stream my data to those devices.
However, I have to say I don't really feel comfortable giving my data to companies like Google, Microsoft or Amazon because I don't want them to see my invoices, how new projects are coming along, I don't want them to know who my customers are, what companies I'm talking to.
I don't want them to know this kind of stuff because next thing you know they compete with you - fact.
Streaming will be extremely succesful on the enterprise level as well because it saves costs. You no longer need to buy expensive harddrives. You log in to a wireless network and you look at the data.
But, again, I don't think the big corporations I worked with are about to have their data on one of Microsoft's or Google's servers.
There will be exceptions of course but I think this is one of the biggest issues that just might hold it back.

Steve, I'm looking forward to reading your solution.
