So has anyone ever heard of an old economics saying, "There is no such thing as a FREE lunch." If something sounds to good to be true then what are they doing? Why would a company give away free business listings just to sell contacts? Hmmm has anyone taken a look at a company called 4DHotleads.com? We use them for our site stats and their parent company for Internet Marketing. At least I know my companies data stays with me and isn't in the hands of a company that is known to sell data.

Just my 2 cents.

I had to read this twice, and still was not clear exactly what the benefits of this website are.

Be honest - is this a paid review? There is no harm with paid reviews on light news days.

Jason - as a follow up, VisitorTrack was first available in 2003. The data uncovered by this SaaS application provides more detail about invisible website Visitors than any other in the marketplace.

Demandbase is the first B2B platform solution to bring together data from a number of trusted third party information providers and combine it with web site and CRM data in more useful way. Focus is on relevancy and lead quality for each customer, not volume, and we are the first to take a data agnostic approach. Yes, there are a couple solutions out there that do basic company look up on IP addresses, but only Demandbase combines it with a central platform and the latest Web 2.0 technologies to deliver it across the desktop - for free. What is also different is that sales people can set up the service for their territory in a minute and focus on turning just the highest potential business visits into actionable leads.

VisitorTrack wasn't the first...LeadLander was I think. The difference here is that they charge for it and Demandbase is giving it to you for free. What's not to like there?

There interface cluttered and slow. Sign-up process is difficult (you'd think with 8 mil you'd be able to hire a decent UI designer).

Everything is in flash; WHO in their right freakin mind builds their entire web interface in flash...it's just silly.

These guys certainly have a long way to go if they want to compete in this space.

There is nothing here to write home about (or should I say nothing to write about that should go on the cover of TechCrunch.) - Jason I'm looking in your direction...

Demandbase has followed others into this market. VisitorTrack was the first entrant, and category leader. The VisitorTrack application fully integrates detailed profile data about companies visiting a website with Contacts information: Executive names, address, telephone, and email address - without needing to purchase anything additional.

In addition, behavioral profiling identifies "high value" Visitors, as well as automatically filters out ISPs. HotLeads are sent in real time.

So what? This kind of lead gen platform exists with many companies already. What's going to differentiate them from the rest? This post doesn't explain well enough and there is no press release to link to the full story..........also, their crunchbase should be updated to convey this new model.
