Buzznet seems to have started down this path as well, they have gobbled up all the big guns like Stereogum, Absolute Punk, Idolator (formerly a Gawker site), The Gauntlet and I know they are working on more. I can only assume forming an ad network is their plan like MOG, as it certainly hasn’t helped Buzznet’s traffic so far, in fact their corporate like behavior might have conversely hurt their traffic… http://siteanal....com/?metric=uv

OK- Rick Rubin, the man who brough Gangsta rap into middle class neighborhoods is fronting an ad network? If they’re really smart they’ll sign Dee Snider as a front man and Ringo Starr to provide the backbeat. Maybe they can get Milli Manilli to lip sync their overture and Slayer can dissect it for Bono from U2 to give it a humanitarian agenda.

To have Rick Rubin on your board is major…think Johnny Cash, Run DMC, the Beastie Boys — that to me is news enough. Looking at their site, they seem to have more of a pure, musical edge than Imeem or the other major music sites.
